The Automotive Vehicles Test Engineering team is searching for a skilled and innovative Data Engineer to assist us in accelerating NVIDIA's autonomous vehicle solutions. You will play a crucial role in developing and implementing comprehensive Key Performance Indicators (KPIs) and dashboards that will redefine the landscape of autonomous vehicles. Working with devoted and multi-functional engineering teams across various vehicle subsystems, your contribution will enable the effective integration of their work into our data infrastructure, while ensuring adherence to all vital NVIDIA and automotive industry standards & guidelines. As a data analyst/engineer, your primary role will be to construct robust and scalable data infrastructure that will enable us to track, analyze and validate our self-driving technology using billions of data points.

What you will be doing:

  • Develop and enhance tools that automate the data analysis and KPI reporting process, fostering a culture of data-driven decision making across the company.
  • Design, develop, and maintain data infrastructure that supports large-scale, complex analysis of autonomous driving systems.
  • Collaborate across engineering, data science, testing, and release teams to build and scale analytical solutions that address gaps in data coverage and frameworks and reduce risks to the project.
  • Create dashboards and reports using data visualization tools
  • Contribute to improve the overall process, quality of products
  • Identify, troubleshoot, and resolve system-level issues that affect the performance and reliability of our data infrastructure.

What we need to see:

  • BS, MS, or higher degree, in Engineering, Computer Science, or related field.
  • At least 2+ years of data engineering and analysis experience, preferably in the field of autonomous systems, metric setup, and data visualization..
  • Proficiency in SQL, Python or similar high-level data languages.
  • Experience with distributed computing, big data technologies, and cloud platforms.
  • Strong understanding of data modeling, ETL processes, and data visualization techniques.
  • Excellent problem-solving, analytical skills, and technical troubleshooting abilities.
  • Strong communication and collaboration skills.
  • Demonstrated ability to perform in situations with high ambiguity and competing priorities.
  • Curiosity and a desire to “dive deep” into data to derive insights.

Ways to stand out from the crowd:

  • Experience with designing KPIs and dashboards for complex systems such robotics
  • Knowledge of AI/ML systems, or AI-native systems.
  • Having experience in large-scale data engineering for hardware or software validation of any robotics solution.
