Job Description

NVIDIA is looking for Systems Software Engineer skilled in Software development, Autonomous Vehicle (AV) data analytics and data pipelines. In this role, you will work with Autonomous Vehicle team, DRIVE Sim and DRIVE Constellation teams, as well as Safety team, and V&V teams across organizational boundaries and geographies. Together, we build and scale up our Simulation and Replay technologies to accelerate AV Verification and Validation (V&V) for China market.

What you'll be doing:

  • Develop production-ready libraries of evaluators to monitor and improve AV SW stack on the DRIVE Constellation platform.
  • Analyze and implement the expansion for China operational design domains, use cases, requirements, perception models and localization algorithms.
  • Automate tests and workflows in China ODDs within the overall NVIDIA AI Infrastructure.
  • Co-develop evaluation framework using procedural, declarative and Generative AI methods.
  • Create and improve metrics for measuring and validating AV safety and performance in China.
  • Foster innovation, trust and excellence.

What we need to see:

  • BS, MS in Computer Science, Computer Engineering, Electrical Engineering, Physics, Mathematics, or related field.
  • Proficient in data, cloud, data science and ideally accelerated compute (e.g. Python ecosystem, and CUDA).
  • Experience in building scalable software system solutions and customer facing safety-critical software products.
  • 2+ year experience in software design, including debugging, performance analysis, and automation of testing designs.
  • Experience working in agile projects.
  • Experience developing tools for developers.
  • Fluent English and outstanding communication skills.
  • Understanding of how to build successful products in large-scale environments.

Ways to stand out from the crowd:

  • Familiarity with automotive systems, in particular autonomy or self-driving, or similar real-time safety-critical systems in other domains.
  • Experience in large language models and generative models.
  • Background in developing or using autonomous vehicle simulators and their workflows.
  • Experience specifying, developing, or working to Automotive Standards ISO26262, ISO21448, OpenSCENARIO 2.0
  • Self-starter who has confirmed experience developing and shipping real-time software systems
