We are now looking for a motivated ASIC Physical Design & Timing Engineer to join our multifaceted and growing team. What you'll be doing:

  • Join the ASIC Physical Design (ASIC-PD) team responsible for the physical design, synthesis, place and route feasibility analysis, timing/STA, & netlist convergence for all chips within NVIDIA.
  • Drive physical design and timing closure of high-frequency and low-power hardware (CPUs, GPUs, SoCs, etc.) at block level, cluster level, and/or full chip level.
  • Work on chip execution as well as methodology improvements, interacting with multiple teams in a cross-functional environment.

What we need to see:

  • BS with at least 2+ years of industry experience or MS with 1+ years of industry experience or PhD in Electrical and/or Computer Engineering or related field (or equivalent experience).
  • Strong fundamentals on hardware design, specifically ASIC and VLSI designs.
  • Knowledge of Physical Design challenges in deep sub-micron processes.
  • Familiarity with industry standard EDA tools, in one or multiple of these areas – Synthesis, Place and route, STA, and Power.
  • Good ability in programming and scripting languages, such as, Perl, Tcl, Python, etc.

Ways to stand out from the crowd:

  • Expertise in solving sophisticated problems in any of the technical areas mentioned above.
  • Understanding of CPU, GPU, SOC architecture and/or background in RTL/logic design and/or skills in circuit design.
  • Ability to develop new methodologies/flows and/or workflows through automation, including applications of ML/DL.

The base salary range is 108,000 USD - 172,500 USD. Your base salary will be determined based on your location, experience, and the pay of employees in similar positions.

You will also be eligible for equity and benefits. NVIDIA accepts applications on an ongoing basis.
