The Automotive Vehicles Test Engineering team is searching for a creative and experienced Software Engineering Manager in Test Engineering to help us bring NVIDIA's autonomous vehicle solution out to the world. You will work with hardworking and dedicated multi-functional engineering development teams across various vehicle subsystems to integrate their work into our AV SW platform, while achieving or exceeding all meaningful NVIDIA and automotive standards & guidelines. What you'll be doing:

  • Technically lead and manage a team that will create and manage simulation and log replay testing.
  • Lead and manage a team that will identify, triage, and resolve system-level issues that affect our AV performance and test infrastructure.
  • Working with development, systems engineering, release management & other AV teams to test the upcoming releases and ensure that they are at a sufficient quality level without regressions.
  • Drive the automation of dataset curation and GT labeling processes to bolster development of critical end-to-end product KPIs
  • Drive the analysis, health, accuracy and monitoring of product KPIs, understand the current state of our software and inform product priorities.
  • Lead high priority activities and programs across teams, driving issues to resolution, rapidly prototyping and executing on processes to drive solutions.

What we need to see:

  • BS, MS, or higher degree, in Mechanical Engineering, Electrical Engineering, or Computer Science or equivalent experience.
  • 5+ overall years of software engineering and data analysis experience, preferably in the field of simulation, autonomous systems, robotics, artificial intelligence or related areas.
  • 4+ years managing a team.
  • Prior experience managing managers in a fast-paced environment, delivering complex software products.
  • Well-rounded knowledge of how an autonomous vehicle stack works, and practical experience dealing with the challenges in this area.
  • Strong leadership, interpersonal, and communication skills, with the ability to drive consensus and alignment across large organizations.
  • Demonstrated ability to perform in situations with high ambiguity and competing priorities.

Ways to stand out from the crowd:

  • Experience with scaling the use of autonomous vehicles simulation frameworks.
  • Prior experience with Bazel, Docker, Jenkins.
  • Knowledge of AI/ML systems, or a background in working with AI-native systems.
  • Prior experience in large-scale simulation for hardware or software validation of any robotics solution.
