Job Description

ABB Corporate Research Center in Sweden is located in Västerås, about 100 kilometers west of Stockholm. Together with our colleagues in other R&D centers we develop technologies for future products and services for ABB's core businesses.

In the realm of ML, the quality of data directly influences the efficacy of models and the insights they provide. Data collected from real-world sources is often noisy, incomplete, and subject to errors, which can lead to misleading conclusions and suboptimal predictions. This study will concentrate on automating data engineering process for precise model creation for practical industrial implementation. Particularly automating data cleaning & feature engineering to enhance the reliability and integrity of data as well as improved accuracy and interpretability of industrial ML models.

  • ABB may cover the accommodation in Västerås

Your responsibilities

  • Explore autonomous data engineering for industrial ML, focusing on automating data cleaning and feature engineering. The aim is to expedite accurate and efficient model development for industrial applications
  • Autonomous data cleaning to identify and rectify inconsistencies, errors, and missing values within real industrial datasets
  • Automating/assisting feature selection to transform raw industrial data into informative and relevant features

Your background

  • Motivation to solve real world problems using state-of-the-art methods
  • Background in data science or engineering or similar
  • Basic knowledge on Python or MatLab
  • Knowledge on AI & ML
  • Good interpersonal skills
