Job Description

We are looking for a Data Architect at ABB Oy, Drives unit in Helsinki, Finland or Estonia. You will get to lead the development and design of data architecture for data platforms, including responsibility for design patterns, data modeling, service-oriented data integrations, cloud architecture and design, as well as data architecture and design for business intelligence domains. Data Architect collaborates closely with various business and IT functions to identify and plan information systems’ development and to contribute to the achievement of a higher level of system efficiency, effectiveness, quality and operational functionality.

Your responsibilities

• Seeking out innovations to provide improved data quality, availability and business intelligence and for example machine learning capabilities on a global scale. Main target is to eliminate data redundancies and to provide improved ways for data collection sources, methods, and tools
• Leading multiple highly complex efforts within multiple data domains, establishing different standards and guidelines, improving, and providing key architecture solutions that require scalability, availability and reliability
• Managing relationships with stakeholders to update status, resolve issues, and manage expectations.
• Acting as a senior individual contributor for data development and data architecture related tasks

Your background

• In depth technical skills used to manipulate and prepare our datasets to data architecture, data warehousing and data governance. Strong understanding about automation of data flows and integrations is beneficial
• Experience in assisting multiple teams to provide efficient data solutions within global operations, including communication and collaboration with the business
• Good understanding of business processes, project management and leadership skills
• Understanding of IT tool and platform technologies such as Microsoft Azure, Snowflake as well as experience of IT tool development and management
• Fluent English language skills
