THE OPPORTUNITY

Our location in COLUMBUS, OH, currently has an opportunity for a Data Analytics Analyst. 

The Data Analytics Analyst will collaborate with internal and external partner teams to support the integrity and availability of data to provide accurate and timely analysis, as well as identifying opportunities to improve Abbott reporting processes and analytics to improve consumption (sales and share) performance. This position provides the opportunity to capitalize on process improvements and automation, while developing standardized, efficient, and repeatable processes. In addition to strong technical and analytical expertise, this position is responsible for providing strong thought leadership and support to cross-functional partners in commercial analytics, retail and finance teams.

WHAT YOU’LL WORK ON

  • Provide sales analysis and data insights to inform understanding of performance
  • Address and resolve data integrity, integration and system issues
  • Manage relationships with key data providers, identify new partnerships and methodologies to improve Abbott business understanding through better managed consumption and marketing activities datasets
  • Develop reports and analysis to guide business decisions
  • Identify and respond to opportunities to automate processes and streamline efficiencies

ACCOUNTABILITY:

This position reports directly into the Director, Data and Analytics, and has regular day-to-day responsibilities for supporting business reporting and analysis, with a high focus on data collection, ingestion, and harmonization processes. This role includes the authority to correct/adjust data and alignments to preserve and protect integrity of reporting as well as accountability of maintenance to provide accurate reporting that will drive business decisions across Abbott Nutrition.

REQUIRED QUALIFICATIONS

  • Bachelor’s degree required, preference for concentrations in Business Analytics, Data Science, Statistics, Computer Information Systems, Economics, Finance, Marketing, Marketing Research, or Consumer Behavior.
  • 1-2 years’ experience in Business Intelligence, Finance, Information Technology, Sales, Marketing, Operations or Customer Service.
  • Strong analytical ability and interest.
  • Strong Microsoft-Analytics toolset comfort, experience, and skillset; Excel, Power BI, SQL Server exposure and experience preferred.
  • Ability to independently create presentations in MS PowerPoint.
  • Interest to advance into analytics, marketing, sales, and/or category management roles.
  • Exposure to and experience with Syndicated, Point of Sale, and Marketing datasets preferred.
  • Knowledge of data visualization tools (e.g., Power BI, Tableau, Qlik Sense), database querying (e.g., SQL) and statistical programming (e.g., R, Python) preferred.
  • Experience in data selection, cleansing, and validation across a wide range of syndicated and proprietary data sources
  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills
  • Experience in CPG and/or Healthcare a plus
