ABB Sweden is looking for a Research Scientist. If you have experience in feedback control with a passion to see advanced algorithms being used to solve real industrial problems and have interest in machine learning algorithms, particularly reinforcement learning methods, for process control applications, then apply today! The primary objective of this research is to thoroughly investigate and potentially develop novel solutions for advanced AI-based control algorithms applicable to process industries. This investigation will particularly focus on exploring Reinforcement Learning algorithms, with the potential for combining them with deterministic optimal control algorithms. By delving deeper into these areas, we aim to enhance our understanding and propose innovative approaches that can effectively address the control challenges prevalent in process industries. The teams research focus is in Industrial Networks and Control and is part of the Automation Technologies department. This is a temporary role until the end of 2023, with the possibility of extension.
