Job Description

You will be working as Senior R&D Engineer and will be part of Motion Business Area for Service Division based in Bangalore, India. In this role you will be reporting to R&D Team Lead and will be responsible in developing advanced digital services and solutions which are used by our clients around the world. You will be contributing to projects that result in technology, software, product and/or solution development.

Your responsibilities

• Defining, developing and documenting analytics prototyping and development
• Guiding / mentoring junior data scientists in the team
• Understanding the use cases and business requirements for data driven solutions for the end customer
• Developing analytics for condition monitoring and predictive maintenance of electrical assets
• Providing support for validation of the deployed model with existing or acquired domain knowledge
• Working as a part of global development team following agile development practices
• Identifying, proposing and implementing innovation solutions and protecting associated IP

Your background

• Masters or Doctoral degree in Computer/Data Science or equivalent with good academic track record
• Minimum 8 years of experience in the significant areas of expertise the role demands. Experience in data management and transforming data into value adding customer features
• Good understanding and experience on machine learning methods, knowledge of statistical analysis, exploratory data analysis, deep learning methods and model optimization
• Experience in identifying right method for time series and event text data analysis, handling big data with appropriate tools, platform and architecture
• Software development experience and familiarity with modern data tools and languages (Python / PySpark preferred) and know-how of Microsoft Azure cloud is an added advantage
• Working knowledge of frequency converter, electrical motor technologies or condition monitoring is considered
• Good knowledge on the end-to-end process of conceiving ideas to deployment is a desirable experience
