As a Digital Solutions Consultant, you will be a vital member of the engineering team in the PAPI Digital Solutions, Process Automation Process Industries (PAPI) in Westerville, Ohio, consulting on technical solutions, approving assignments and overseeing timely completion to high standards.

Regional Solutions Consulting Leader, America Digital

Your responsibilities

• Lead for digital consulting assignments of high complexity
• Provides digital solution leadership for Sustainability Solutions consistently at high quality to a sales, proposals and project teams
• Analyzes customer requirements to ensure digital solution(s) meets objectives by combining industry best practices, product knowledge and business acumen
• Acts as a high level technical expert, providing knowledge and analysis of Sustainability Solutions software applications and operational environments, functional systems analysis, design, integration and implementation advice for complex digital solution implementation
• Provides direction and mentoring to sales and project teams
• Interfaces with and influences customer’s senior technical and business leadership
• Continuously drives business development efforts by pursuing new opportunities and extensions with solutions consulting and hub digital teams
• Demonstrates expertise in multiple digital solution areas across two or more portfolios with the ability to architect and design technology solutions

Your background

• Bachelor’s Degree in Engineering, Environmental Management, Software Engineering or related technical field required and minimum 10 years experience in the OT (Operational Technology) / software industry with focus on digitalization and the Internet of Things, and deep understanding of relevant technologies and trends
• Master’s Degree in Business Administration or technical field a plus
• Proven track record in customer focus, exposure to customer top management, consultative selling, driving results and turning opportunities into sales successes
• Proven experience in driving digital development for complex global organizations, ideally in a B2B environment (Process, Energy, software, technology, automation)
• Background in cloud and edge technologies, digital twins, analytics, artificial intelligence and machine learning as applied to Process Performance solutions
• Ability to deliver complex deliverables under demanding timelines. Be flexible with changes and keep the customer focused and stay within the scope of the engagement
• Deep Experience in the industrial software environment; Division specific industry exposure (industrial automation/advanced software) preferred experience and background in either one or more of the Division industrial domains of Mining, Pulp & Paper, Metals, Food & Beverage
• Strong knowledge of sustainability solutions covering energy management and optimization, emissions monitoring, wastewater management, worker safety and other similar solutions
• Background in cloud and edge technologies, analytics, artificial intelligence and machine learning as applied to Sustainability Solutions
• Hands on experience with software applications in Sustainability Solutions from leading vendors
• Development of Sustainability partners in ecosystem for contributing to IP, developing apps or implementing on ABB platform. Develop strategic alliances for joint development of sustainability visualization, management and optimization to offer new solutions
• Experience in M&A activities within the Sustainability industry to broaden depth in the both the portfolio as well as services
• Background in industrial sustainability KPIs and metrics, understanding of GRI standards
• Understanding of environmental reporting systems, policies and methods including ISO 14'001 and 50'001 certifications
• Experience with architecting, developing, and administering Sustainability Solutions software solutions
• Excellent networking skills matured in a highly international organization, “leading by influence”
• Change management experience is a strong plus
• Fluency in English, both written and spoken
• Availability to travel internationally as required
• Candidates must already have a work authorization that would permit them to work for ABB in the US
