Your responsibilities

• Developing machine learning models for industrial applications is a very time-consuming expert work. AutoML is the attempt to automate the machine learning process end-to-end. Various Open Source Frameworks like AutoSklearn, AutoKeras, Ludwig automate at least important steps like model selection, hyper parameter tuning, neural net architecture design. Most use cases are reported in natural language or image processing applications, industrial data sets like time-series or event data are rarely reported. In this internship you will work on the following tasks:
• Check applicability of frameworks towards time-series and or event data
• Setting up Open Source AutoML frameworks on a local cluster or in the cloud with Kubernetes
• Conducting experiments based on expert solved industrial machine learning problems
• Comparing the performance of AutoML frameworks on industrial machine learning problems
• Evaluation of open source AutoML frameworks for industrial use cases

Your background

• You are a fully matriculated student in computer science, data science, or related fields
• Knowledge in data analytics and machine learning techniques and models, e.g. modeling of neural networks
• Experience with data analytics and visualization programming libraries such as Python, Tensorflow, Keras, Scikit-Learn, Flask, Django, Node.js, JavaScript
• Fluent command of German or English
