Job Description

Responsibilities:

• Assist the team with the analysis of business requirements and developing solution recommendations which anticipate the future impact of changing business requirements.
• Utilize analytical, statistical, and programming skills to collect, clean, analyze, and interpret large data sets and apply principles of data science to data analysis.
• In collaboration with more senior team members, generate reports with findings and help to communicate these effectively via written, oral, and visual dashboard/presentation methods.
• Assist in providing data science training, education, and consultation to internal, cross-functional stakeholders
• Adherence to principles of ethical data usage, statistical rigor, interpretability, and reproducibility.

Qualifications:

Required Skills:

• Bachelor’s Degree with 4 years’ experience or Master’s Degree with 2 years’ experience Statistics, Computer Science, or a related quantitative field. Background in life sciences or work experience in the pharmaceutical industry preferred.
• Minimum undergraduate knowledge of statistical and machine learning methods, with knowledge in modeling and business analytics.
• Academic experience (at minimum) with a variety statistical languages and packages, such as R, Python etc. Expectation is proficiency in at least one of python or R.
• Experience with data cleaning and transformation techniques, such as consolidation, normalization, standardization, imputation, aggregation, and performing exploratory analysis prior to statistical analysis or machine learning
• Academic experience (at minimum) working with modern relational databases and/or distributed computing platforms Big Data, and their query interfaces, such as SQL, Impala, Spark, PySpark and Hive.
• Academic experience (at minimum) using visualization techniques for presenting data and analysis as dashboard in tools such as R/Shiny, ggplot, Tableau, Qlik and Custom web-based solutions.
• Self-starter and should be able to align, adapt and manage to changing requirements.
• Comfortable working in a fast paced, highly collaborative, dynamic environment

Additional useful Experience:

• Experiences in Personalization, Search, Deep Learning, Operations Research
• Experience of OS Linux/Unix
• Knowledge of Agile Project management processes
• NLP, Data mining, text mining, Deep Learning
• Working knowledge of Data Science tools like Dataiku, AWS SageMaker etc.
