Job Description

Responsible for leveraging internal and external data to provide insights and information which supports a facts-based decision making process to fraud prevention strategies. Provides input into strategy, analysis methods and tool selection. Acts as a key contributor in a complex and crucial environment.• This role will be responsible for supporting efforts related to machine learning, optimization methods, and statistical model building. This role will work very closely with engineering and analytical staff to support the development of innovative approaches to fraud prevention.

Job Description

Core Responsibilities

  • Implement fraud prevention solutions leveraging statistical models and machine learning methods
  • Identify key data questions and conducting exploratory analyses
  • Building forecasting methods
  • Applying optimization methods
  • Researching and applying new technologies and analytical methods.
  • Applying advanced data visualization to provide key insights
  • Working independently and as part of a broader team across multiple project
  • Performs all business intelligence analysis and data exploitation. Extracts signals and signatures from raw data, integrates that information with other data sources and compiles/disseminates formatted reports to customers.
  • Recommends improvements to competitive business intelligence reports and interpretation of data by sales, business development, product and executive committees.
  • Plans and executes system testing. Requires knowledge of the customer's mission and technology used to accomplish a given task.
  • Leads the analysis and reconciliation of data and reporting projects and initiatives delivery.
  • Develops, maintains and reports all relevant product, site and customer metrics and applies findings to develop appropriate goals and projections.
  • Trains others throughout the organization in using key analytical and forecasting tools and statistical analysis.
  • Consistent exercise of independent judgment and discretion in matters of significance.
  • Regular, consistent and punctual attendance. Must be able to work nights and weekends, variable schedule(s) and overtime as necessary.
  • Other duties and responsibilities as assigned.

Preferred Skills:

  • Bachelor’s degree in a technical field such as Data Science, Computer Science, Engineering, Business Analytics, Mathematics, Statistics, or Operations Research, Master’s or PhD a plus
  • At least 3 years of experience with Python, SQL, R and analytical model implementation
  • Experience with Optimization Models such as Linear and Nonlinear Programming
  • Skilled at data mangling and manipulation
  • Experience with data visualization tools and programming packages
  • Strong analytical and problem-solving skills; ability to work creatively in problem solving environment
  • Proven ability to deliver on complex projects within deadlines
  • Ability to communicate technical concepts to a non-technical audience
  • Strong interest in fraud prevention
