Job Summary

Job Title: Senior Cybersecurity Engineer Area: Technology Product Experience - Cybersecurity & Data Science Locations: In-Office/Hybrid (Philadelphia, Denver, Washington DC, Northern VA), Virtual Responsibilities • Leads and or facilitate security architecture & design reviews of platforms and services • Assess the security risks, compliance gaps and quantifies overall security posture of platforms and services • Recommends security solutions – security design patterns, sec tools, automation, mitigating controls, etc to manage risk • Assists in driving adoption of SecDevOps principles across various platform and services teams • Identifies, documents and recommends best practices/solutions to secure applications, data bases and network technologies • Works with teams to support security technology through the product and enterprise lifecycle • Interfaces with teams across the organization to ensure an efficient and effective security solution meets engineering/business needs • Stays current with security technologies, trends, vulnerabilities and threats • Monitors current and future security trends, technology and information that will positively affect products and services as well as applies and integrates emerging technological trends to new and existing systems architecture. • Reviews security technologies across multiple platforms and products • Supports test, troubleshooting and operational issues alignment with security designs and architectures • Supports building a culture of security by educating others and advocating an open security posture • Consistently exercises best judgment and discretion in matters of significance • Acts as a key contributor in a complex and crucial environment.

Skills & Experiences

• Proficient in DevOps and Agile Software Development Life Cycles
• Proficient with various security frameworks/protocols such as: Federation/SSO, IDS, IPS, Host Based Firewall, VPN, SSH, Key Management, PKI, Tokens, SAML, OAUTH, HTTPS/TLS, etc
• Proficient with IP Protocols (IPv4, IPv6, TCP/UDP/ICMP), DNS/DHCP and ability to troubleshoot network connectivity
• Understanding of Authentication, Authorization, Access, Identity and Encryption frameworks
• Experience with managing security incidents, conducting forensic investigations and developing incident response plan
• Familiarity with ZeroTrust, Security zone models, ACL management, etc
• Familiarity with SEIM, SOAR, End Point protection tools
• Proficient at protocols and APIs (REST)
• Cloud security knowledge in AWS, Azure, and or VMWare
• Experience with Databases/Big Data platforms (SQL query/reporting): MySQL, Cassandra, PostgreSQL, Hadoop/HDFS, etc
• Proficient with AWS, Linux (CentOS/RHEL) and optionally Windows operating system
• Familiarity with CI/CD tools – Jenkins, Concourse, GitHub
• Familiarity with Threat Modeling, Penetration and Vulnerability scanning
• Excellent written and verbal communication skills, interpersonal and collaborative skills
• Must have strong problem-solving and analytical skills
• High degree of initiative and be well organized
• Ability to manage multiple projects with strict timelines
• Ability to professionally handle confidential matters, show appropriate level of judgment and maturity
