JOB DESCRIPTION

Job Summary

The Applied Analytics team provides deep insights and advanced analytics to senior leaders across Comcast’s internet, video, mobile, voice, and home security product portfolios. As internal consultants, we support the strategic decisions that drive Comcast’s growth, improve its products, and improve its customers’ experiences. Our team is looking for a Senior Manager who can leverage Comcast’s abundant data assets to become a trusted partner for our business leaders and solve their most complex problems. The role is highly visible and provides exposure to a broad range of Comcast’s product and functional areas.

Job Description

Core Responsibilities

  • Develop deep working relationships with business stakeholders to become a trusted partner for their data and analytical needs.
  • Promote and evangelize a culture of excellence, data driven discussions, healthy skepticism, intellectual curiosity, knowledge sharing, and teamwork, while maintaining an environment that is upbeat and fun.
  • Demonstrate ‘big picture’ understanding of Comcast’s business drivers and develop innovative analytical frameworks to address them.
  • Proactively identify, prioritize, and conduct analyses that drive meaningful change on key objectives established by senior Comcast leadership.
  • Build custom datasets to support analytic activities utilizing assets from across the organization. Partner with subject matter experts to ensure metrics align with enterprise goals.
  • Communicate findings clearly and concisely through narrative-driven presentations and effective data visualizations to Comcast executives and decision makers.
  • Develop and communicate goals, strategies, tactics, project plans, timelines, and key performance metrics to reach goals.
  • Collaborate with analytic teams across business units to promote best practices and a common metrics foundation as defined by the Enterprise Business Intelligence (EBI) team.
  • Lead and contribute to high level solution designing, test planning, and platform decisions.
  • Establish policies, standards, practices, and security measures to assure effective and consistent information processing operations and to safeguard the information resources.
  • Regular, consistent, and punctual attendance. Must be able to adapt to variable schedule(s) as necessary, and work through other duties and responsibilities as assigned

  • Proficiency in SQL, R, and/or Python.

  • Exceptional attention to detail and ability to progress multiple analyses in parallel.
  • Ability to work effectively across functions, disciplines, and levels.

Education and Experience

  • Minimum: BA/BS degree in marketing, economics, statistics, psychology, engineering, computer science, mathematics, or finance
  • Preferred: MBA, or MA/MS degree in a quantitative discipline
  • 7+ years of relevant work experience in analytic role, including time spent pursuing advanced degree.
