Job Summary

Team Overview: The Analytics & Experimentation Platform team (AXP) provides data insights to Product, Engineering, and Business users who build Comcast's products and services. We ensure that our users can quickly, easily, and reliably access the insights they need to make data informed decisions. AXP consists of four core pillars: Data Platform & Self-Service, Experimentation, Data Science & Analytics, and Data Events & Contracts. The Data Platform & Self-Service Analytics squad is responsible for offering robust and automated solutions that enable data driven product development through advanced analytics, experimentation, and self-service metrics. We are looking for a Technical Product Manager passionate about User Experience and Data Governance. Summary: Are you a customer advocate who enjoys building robust systems and processes? Do you enjoy working with and learning from a variety of stakeholders, use cases, tools, and data? We are seeking a professional passionate about understanding and improving the user experience with our team’s data products. Our offerings continue to evolve to serve a broader span of users and to meet requirements for customer data privacy. The Product-Engineering manager will support ongoing initiatives around these two areas and define features and workflows to support these efforts. Through this work, you will gain hands-on experience across a number of technologies and business intelligence tools. You will understand how we work and how to continuously optimize our technologies and workflows. Qualifications: The role requires someone who is technical, process oriented, and enjoys diving into the details of data. Technically proficient background; familiar with data processing, data engineering, and tools like AWS, Spark, Databricks, Kinesis, by work experience or education Prior development experience using a business intelligence tool such as Looker or Tableau Demonstrated ability to improve processes and automate workflows Prior experience in large scale program management, operations or customer experience roles, or at a growth stage startup Ability to work independently to understand and solve problems Strong written and verbal story-teller Confirmed ability to work closely with technical partners to successfully build and promote offerings on a prioritized roadmap Nice to have: Prior experience with data governance tools such as Privacera The role is US based and can be semi or fully remote. The core team sits in Philadelphia.

Core Responsibilities

  • Develops business requirements, assesses current reporting capabilities and makes recommendations for improvement.
  • Creates actionable insight and understanding, through the analysis of both quantitative and qualitative data, building recommendations that directly address business objectives.
  • Plans, develops and implements data engineering and analytics solutions and technologies and ensures that sound methodologies are employed. Provides the Company with solid, effective and efficient systems that are supportable.
  • Evaluates all major system modifications and development requests to determine potential benefits and impact on business and information system operations.
  • Understands the needs of non-technical internal application users and maintains strong support relationships with managers, leads and end-users community in all business areas.
  • Identifies possible conflicts with the strategy and recommends cost-effective alternatives.
  • Conducts full analyses of changes impacting customers and operations and ensures impacts are accurately integrated into forecasts.
  • Carries out post-event analyses to validate forecast assumptions and identifies all additional factors associated with changes.
  • Consistent exercise of independent judgment and discretion in matters of significance.
  • Regular, consistent and punctual attendance. Must be able to work nights and weekends, variable schedule(s) and overtime as necessary.
  • Other duties and responsibilities as assigned.
