JOB DESCRIPTION

Job Summary

Comcast’s Corporate Compliance Group provides strategic oversight of the Company’s compliance program and sits within the parent company-level Corporate Law Department. The Group ensures that the Company is conducting its business in compliance with existing and developing laws, regulations, and contracts in the U.S., U.K., and other jurisdictions in which the Company does business. The Senior Manager, Corporate Compliance will manage and implement reporting, technology and data analytics initiatives related to the Company’s compliance program. The ideal candidate will have a strong data science background and expertise in visualizing data using Tableau and similar tools. A willingness to learn, strong communication and analytical skills, project management experience, and attention to detail are critical to success. The Senior Manager will have exposure to the Corporate Chief Compliance Officer and leaders from across Comcast, NBCUniversal, and Sky and should be comfortable presenting information to employees of all levels. This position reports to an Assistant Deputy General Counsel.

Job Description

Job Responsibilities:

  • Prepare and maintain consolidated reporting on key aspects of the Company’s Compliance Program using data received from across the Company
  • Develop and assist with the development and implementation of key indicators to monitor and evaluate the effectiveness of the Company’s Compliance Program
  • Develop and implement compliance technology and analytics strategy at Corporate and in collaboration with programs established by the Business Units
  • Oversee and manage systems used at the Corporate Division for approvals and other key aspects of the Compliance Program (e.g., third party due diligence; gifts and entertainment review); collaborate with Legal Technology Operations on key initiatives
  • Manage and respond to technology and related reviews of systems maintained by Corporate Compliance (e.g., privacy and security reviews; business continuity reviews)
  • Develop and maintain the data retention plan for information held in Corporate Compliance systems
  • Analyze large data sets from disparate systems and use data visualization tools (e.g., Tableau) to identify trends and develop automated dashboards
  • Advise leaders on the use of technology to enhance the Company’s Compliance Program
  • Identify opportunities to automate and simplify compliance-related processes using technology
  • Liaise between technologists and subject-matter experts in areas of compliance risk
  • Demonstrate excellent project management skills, with a proven track record of successful delivery of projects on time and in-line with expectations.
  • Partner with other risk functions (e.g., internal audit, HR, Security) and business units on projects as needed
  • Perform other compliance-related duties as needed

Job Requirements:

  • Bachelor’s degree required.
  • Generally requires 10 years of relevant experience. Prior experience supporting an internal risk function (e.g., compliance, audit) at a large corporation, university, or related setting preferred.
  • Strong data science background and expertise developing dashboards using data visualization applications (e.g., Tableau, Power BI). 
  • Demonstrated project management and organizational skills, including the ability to work independently on projects of high complexity with minimal supervision.
  • Excellent partnership and communication skills – an experienced professional focused on achieving objectives in a collaborative manner. 
  • Results oriented professional with an appetite for taking on new challenges who exhibits curiosity.
  • A keen attention to detail.
  • Experience with behavioral data science and its application to compliance programs a plus.
  • International experience a plus.
