Job Summary

Comcast is looking for a leader to support and manage special projects for the Enterprise Data team. If you have experience in working presenting to decision makers, introducing new technologies, and managing and motivating a team. We need you!

Job Description

  • Coordinating and advising the design, development, implementation, maintenance and support of data engineering solutions and applications and making recommendations addressing business objectives and strategies.
  • Provide Sr Level contributions, direction and implementation strategies to one or more of the internal and external program teams ensuring proper execution of their duties and alignment for the business vision and objectives.
  • May introduce new technologies and systems to support new and changing business requirements for large data sets.
  • Develops financial and operational objectives and schedule product rollout by crafting requirements documents, acquiring signoff, handling risks and detailing new and changed processes.
  • Drives operational excellence through standardization of agreed upon standard methodologies. Drives out defects and ensures processes are in place to positively impact customer experience.
  • Plans, recommends and implements data science, data engineering, or data analytics solutions and technologies and ensuring that sound methodologies are employed. Provides the Company with validated, effective and efficient systems that are supportable.
  • Evaluates all major system modifications and development requests to resolve potential benefits and impact on business and information system operations.
  • Understands the needs of non-technical internal application users and maintains strong support relationships with Managers, leads and end-users community in all business areas.
  • Drives the technical production processes, infrastructure, monitoring and tools for project delivery.
  • Builds practical insight and understanding, through the analysis of both quantitative and qualitative data, building recommendations that directly address business objectives.
  • Identifies and solves complex issues with a strategy resolution and recommends cost effective alternatives.
  • Measures effectiveness of improvements through deep analysis of data on performance metrics solving for efficient high quality improvements.
  • Carries out post-event analysis to validate forecast assumptions and identifies all additional factors associated with the change.
  • Consistent exercise of independent judgment and discretion in matters of significance.
  • Other duties and responsibilities as assigned.

Preferred Competencies

  • Experience with Microsoft Office Suites, SQL, Project Management Tools, Microsoft Project and Visio.
  • Ability to work effectively across functions, disciplines, and levels and to communicate complex concepts in easy-to-understand terminology to audiences with varying levels of analytic understanding.
  • People leader with the ability to successfully lead conflict resolutions and create options that keep the project and Comcast's best interest in focus.
