Program Overview: The Comcast Center Coop Program (CCIP) is an 26-week summer coop program based at our Philadelphia Headquarter location. The program is designed to identify high-caliber talent to build our organization with the best and the brightest students who come from a variety of sourcing channels, including on-campus career fairs, partner organizations, and direct applications. In this role you will immerse yourself into the Comcast culture, working side by side with innovative and talented Comcasters. You will cultivate meaningful relationships and develop strong interpersonal and business skills that will set you apart from your peers. Additionally, your experience will include: Engagement: Working on creative, innovative, and thought-provoking projects within various business units at Comcast during your coop experience. Exposure: An inside look into the day-to-day operations of an organization at the cutting edge of media and technology. Professional Development: Exposure to a variety of professional development topics facilitated through our partners at Comcast University and senior leaders within the organization. These sessions include speaker series, skill-building workshops, and networking opportunities. Mentorship: Mentoring from fellow colleagues through the Empowering Future Leaders Program (EFLP) to help you navigate your experience, provide coaching, and expand your professional network. Fun: Continuously develop relationships with fellow coops through social activities, community building, and networking.

Job Description

Role Overview:

  • Assist the Consumer Research & Insights team with providing detailed analysis of survey data that is meant to optimize the Employee Experience (EX) for both our Frontline Employees as well as non-customer-facing employees.
  • Coop will be responsible for building end-to-end analytics leveraging statistical and data science techniques.
  • Provides input into strategy, analysis methods, and opportunity sizing based on data trends and behavior drivers
  • Works under general supervision of the Director of CX/EX Insights and collaborates closely with other members of the team as needed
  • Assist in any data transfers or visualization of survey data and trends

Core Responsibilities:

  • Use data science techniques to prove statistically changes in survey data over time, as well as data mining skills to call out drivers behind the survey data
  • Must have a passion for learning how to tell a story with data and understand that different audiences require different methods for displaying data and communicating key takeaways
  • Work closely with EX Insight team members to develop survey questionnaires, and assist with fielding of surveys, reminders and email campaign management
  • Serve as a liaison with the Workforce Analytics team to tie our survey data to larger statistical Workforce Analytics projects that drive strategy for how our employees learn about our products and services

Preferred Qualifications/Requirements:

  • Currently enrolled and pursuing a BS/MS degree from a United States-based college or university with the Grad year of 2022 or 2023. 

Major:

  • Business Analytics, Economics, Statistics, Mathematics, Decision Science, Operational Research, Computer Science, Engineering, or related field Minimum 3. 2 GPA 
  • Familiarity of statistical modeling techniques such as regression, decision trees, neural networks, support vector machines, clustering techniques. 
  • Familiarity with doing statistical analysis with Python, R or other programming languages is a plus
  • Comfortable with using PowerPoint to summarize statistical analysis and key findings
  • Passion for learning more about consumer and employee research techniques

Salary:

Base Pay: $32.00
