Comcast’s Technology, Product, Xperience (TPX), team needs motivated, qualified individuals to help us fill a full range of positions — from engineers, product designers and developers to Call Center representatives and installation technicians all with the common goal of delivering an outstanding customer experience.

As a key leader on our Reliability Analytics and Data Science team, you will be managing a team of data scientists and analysts using data to understand and improve the reliability of Comcast's products and services. The team is focused on driving data into action through both descriptive analytics and advanced analytics, including the training and development of ML models. The effective leader of this team will ensure the team's delivery plans are aligned with business objectives and help set the strategic direction for data science and analysis within RADS. Equally important as a leader, you will be responsible for mentoring and coaching your teammates on their professional development journeys. And, as with all members of our team, you will be consistently instilling and demonstrating a growth mindset as you hone your own craft and add new skills and tools to your professional toolbox.

Job Description

The Work You'll Do as a RADS Data Science Manager

  • Build a high-performing team of data scientists and analysts that is highly engaged, inclusive, and collaborative while operating with a high degree of autonomy, accountability and a sense of urgency in delivering on business outcomes.
  • Partner with key stakeholders to develop analytics strategy and roadmap and develop and execute plans to deliver business results.
  • Guide development of dashboards and visualizations using BI tools like Tableau to support client analytics needs and effective storytelling using data.
  • Manage the team's day-to-day delivery through their agile process workflow with a keen eye toward effective collaboration with engineering and operations teams.
  • Actively research industry best practices and new developments; implement new methodologies and/or technologies where applicable.
  • Help refine business requirements, schedules and solutions while bringing your superior problem solving skills to bear.
  • Conducts approval and prioritization of ad-hoc requests; appropriately allocates team capacity and cloud budget to achieve goals.
  • Manages the performance of projects, tasks, deliverables and team members.

What you’ll need:

  • A Master’s degree (or above) in an analytics field (e.g., Computer Science, Statistics, Economics, etc.) is strongly preferred
  • 3+ years of experience of leading machine learning or predictive projects to meet the customers’ business requirements or related leadership of technical teams
  • 5+ years’ experience using machine learning techniques or advanced analytics techniques as a data scientist or engineer
  • Demonstrated ability to lead teams and projects with successful, measurably impactful deliveries

Salary:

Pay Range: $140,933.83 - $211,400.74

Comcast intends to offer the selected candidate base pay within this range, dependent on job-related, non-discriminatory factors such as experience.
