Job Description

In the GTM Analytics organization our mission is to deliver impact by building machine learning products to optimize pricing and marketing investments and provide guidance to HP's commercial sales organizations. Our team consists of a diverse global team of economists, statisticians, data scientists, data engineers, software engineers, DevOps, and MLOps engineers, who are pushing the innovation frontier to bring new insights to our business.

Working with us you will combine your Software Development best practices with Data Science ML modelling skills to deliver ML models to a production environment at scale.

About You

You are curious and like to explore new ideas. You are methodical and a self-starter. You have a strong profile in Computer Science. Some of the character qualities:

Key Responsibilities

• Troubleshoot production bugs
• Structure projects that translate a proof of concept (PoC) into a deployable product. e.g., take an R script and rework the code to clean it and optimize it by refactoring into Python. 
• Benchmark, test and validate your code
• Create high quality code and reproducible experiments
• Automate operational processes as needed 
• Be proactive to enhance current processes
• Document & Help other team apply best practices

Requirements

• Currently enrolled in a University Bachelor or Masters degree in Computer Science
• Very good knowledge of Python
• Demonstrated working knowledge of GitHub workflows
• Advanced verbal and written communication skills in English
• Ability to work independently under a fast-paced environment and deliver results under pressure

Nice to Have 

• Knowledge of Machine Learning models.
• Experience on cloud-based platform, i.e., AWS/Docker
• Knowledge in CI/CD pipelines functioning, and GitHub actions
• Knowledge of R, and other programming languages
