We are seeking a highly skilled and motivated Global Pricing & Data Science Manager to join our dynamic team. As a Global Pricing & Data Science Manager, you will play a critical role in driving pricing strategies, leveraging data science techniques, and implementing pricing models across our global organization. The ideal candidate will possess strong interpersonal skills, deep knowledge of the pricing domain, proficiency in SQL and Python, and expertise in deploying pricing models using machine learning algorithms.

Has accountability for a large multi-department area(s) or location(s) with a significant impact on business unit results and organizational strategy. Acts as a key advisor to senior management on the development of overall policies and long-term goals of the organization. Plans manages, and monitors high-end operational/tactical activities of Staff.

Responsibilities

  • Pricing Strategy: Develop and execute global pricing strategies to optimize profitability and achieve revenue goals. Collaborate with cross-functional teams to align pricing strategies with market trends, competitive landscape, and business objectives.
  • Data Analysis and Modeling: Utilize data science techniques to analyze large datasets, derive meaningful insights, and develop accurate pricing models. Apply statistical analysis and machine learning algorithms to identify pricing opportunities, forecast demand, and optimize pricing decisions.
  • Pricing Model Deployment: Design, develop, and deploy pricing models using SQL, Python, and other relevant programming languages. Ensure the scalability, reliability, and accuracy of pricing models to support global pricing operations.
  • Change Management: Drive pricing initiatives and change management efforts across the organization. Collaborate with stakeholders to communicate pricing strategies, address concerns, and facilitate the adoption of new pricing approaches.
  • Conflict Management: Resolve pricing-related conflicts and negotiate pricing agreements with internal stakeholders. Effectively manage competing priorities and diverse perspectives to drive consensus and achieve mutually beneficial outcomes.
  • Executive Presentation: Prepare and deliver insightful presentations to senior executives and stakeholders, communicating complex pricing concepts, data-driven insights, and strategic recommendations. Translate technical findings into the business language to drive informed decision-making.
  • Provides direct and ongoing leadership, updates, and coordination for an organization of multiple subordinate managers and individual contributors responsible for mining data and implementing models/predictions to uncover insights and business value.
  • Manages headcount, deliverables, schedules, and costs for multiple ongoing projects and programs, ensuring that resources are appropriately allocated, and that goals, objectives, timelines, and budgets are met in accordance with program and organizational roadmaps.
  • Engages with program managers, marketing, supply chain, technical leaders and executives to communicate program status, escalate issues, and guide and influence strategic decision-making.
  • Manages relationships with outsourced partners and suppliers, including setting expectations regarding deliverables, product quality, schedules, and costs; ensures that team members are effectively communicating and collaborating with outsourced resources.
  • Proactively identifies opportunities for process improvement and cost reductions opportunities.
  • Provides overall people-care management for direct reports, including hiring, setting and monitoring of annual performance plans, coaching, and career development; drives and fosters organization-wide performance standards, expectations, and practices to support ongoing team member and process development.

Knowledge & Skills

  • Well versed in the Data Sciences domain.
  • Advanced leadership skills, including coaching, team-building, and conflict resolution.
  • Advanced project management skills including time and risk management, resource prioritization, and project structuring.
  • Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.
  • Experience in managing across geographies to drive workforce development and achieve desired results.
  • Advanced communication skills catered to a wide variety of audiences. (e.g. written, verbal, presentation) including negotiation, presentation, and influence skills.
  • Familiarity with data visualization tools, such as Tableau or Power BI, is desirable.
  • Superior business acumen, and technical knowledge.
  • Advanced time-management and prioritization skills.
  • Mastery in English and local language.
  • Knowledge of pricing software solutions or revenue management systems is advantageous.

Scope & Impact

  • Collaborates across functions to deliver Data Science solutions.
  • Typically interacts with high-level Individual Contributors, Managers, Directors, EXEC2s and EXEC3s for internal and external suppliers, partners, and customers.
  • Drives large and complex business initiatives.

Education & Experience

  • Master's degree in Mathematics, Economics, Physics, Computer Science, Information Systems or equivalent.
  • Typically 10 or more years of related work experience with 5 or more years’ of people management
