Position background

In the GTM analytics COE our mission is to deliver impact by building machine learning products to optimize pricing and marketing investments and provide guidance to our sales organization.

Within the Cloud Infrastructure team, we are ensuring that our Data Science teams have all the technology assets they need to build and deliver the AI/ML solutions they work on as well that our Big Data environment is secure and has an up time of 99.99999%. As a Cloud Engineer you will contribute to the success of our team thru the development of new solutions, infrastructures, and maintenance of existing ones for which you will ensure their compliance with security policies.

What you will do

• Designs and establishes secure and performant data architectures.
• Deliver enhancements, updates and programming changes for portions and subsystems of infrastructure hosting data pipelines, repositories and models for structured/unstructured data.
• Analyzes design and determines coding, programming, and integration activities required based on general objectives and knowledge of overall architecture of product or solution.
• Write and executes complete testing plans, protocols, and documentation for assigned portion of data system or component.
• Identify, debug and create solutions for issues with code and integration into data system architecture.
• Collaborates and communicates with project team regarding project progress and issue resolution.
• Represents the infrastructure team supporting the data engineering for all phases of larger and more-complex development projects.
• Provides guidance and mentoring to less experienced staff members.
• Investigate and suggest ways to improve and reduce operational costs.

What you will need:

• Bachelor’s in computer engineering, Computer Science, Electrical Engineering, Robotics or a related field
• 4+ years on a similar role.
• Ability to work under pressure as well as in autonomous mode.
• In-depth knowledge of provisioning and managing on-premises Windows physical and virtual infrastructure using Hyper-V.
• In-depth knowledge of provisioning and managing cloud services on Microsoft Azure.
• Review and Implement DevOps best practices, apply CI and CD principles (best practice) in supporting the build & release life cycle.
• Strong analytical and problem-solving skills with ability to represent complex algorithms in software.
• Strong understanding of database technologies and management systems, in particular Microsoft SQL Server and Azure SQL database services.
• Experience on database architecture testing methodology, including execution of test plans, debugging, and testing scripts and tools.
• Excellent written and verbal communication skills; mastery in English and local language.
• Experience designing data systems/solutions to manage complex data and ability to effectively communicate product architectures, design.
• Experience with container orchestration: Docker, Kubernetes.
• Strong experience in at least one of the following languages: Python, Java, C#, .NET Core and .Net framework.
• Experience with IaC frameworks such as Azure Resource Manager, Terraform, Microsoft PowerShell.

• Experience on Linux Operating Systems.
• Experience on NoSQL databases.
• Experience working on distributed computing systems.
• Experience with different cloud providers systems such as AWS or GCP
