This individual contributor position within the EDA Data & Analytics Platform team will provide solutions interacting with data and powering insights needed to realize business objectives. This role will also perform technical planning, end-to-end architecture development and design specifications for distributed cloud analytics environments. Provides technical leadership and established direction for the application architecture, standards, design and implementation in a distributed cloud environment in Azure and/or AWS.

As a Cloud Architect, you will design engaging Data Platform experiences. An ideal candidate can lead design discussions and implement applications independently with a panache towards building experiences for analytics customers. You will bring your experience in architecting and handling data-intensive applications. The winning candidate for this high-impact role must demonstrate deep knowledge of data architecture concepts, and possess experience solving customer problems building elite experiences around data analytics.

Your core responsibilities will be

  • Architect & implement comprehensive & scalable analytics solutions to drive data driven insights
  • Architect & develop generative AI based analytics applications
  • Identify innovative applications for AI & ML in the data & analytics space.
  • Build scalable solutions in public and private Cloud Platforms to run on containerized and distributed systems
  • Collaborate with other architects, product management and other engineering teams and contribute across planning, modeling, design, implementation, support, and performance optimization of Adobe data platforms and microservices
  • Understand distributed computing architecture principles and articulates value proposition of architecture to business and technology partners.
  • Demonstrate deep subject matter leadership of cloud architecture and implementation features (OS, multi-tenancy, virtualization, orchestration, elastic scalability).
  • Design large-scale cloud architectures and understand relevant cloud services, with deep understanding of consumption-based usage to identify appropriate resource configurations to use.
  • Develop current and target state architecture, future vision and migration path that is aligned with broader executive strategies.
  • Implement custom technology solutions where vendor solutions may not be available, and customize existing vendor solutions where appropriate.
  • Apply infrastructure migration methodologies and techniques to design migration of data and workloads between on-premise and cloud based distributed computing environments.
  • Demonstrate mastery of cloud architecture and implementation features (multi-tenancy, orchestration, elastic scalability, serverless designs, networking, security, and observability).
  • Recommend and participate in governance practices of the IT organization as they relate to Cloud implementation.
  • Ensures decisions around architecture are made in alignment with defined strategies and deviations from standards are accurately identified, addressed, and communicated.
  • Ensure that standards set by Data, Security, Infrastructure, Platform and other enterprise architecture domains are followed when designing solutions.
  • Effectively address information governance and security challenges associated with running workloads on public clouds.

Required Skills

  • 7- 10 years experience across several of these areas: cloud architecture, networking, security, storage, DevOps, containers, serverless computing, CI/CD, cloud migrations, IT transformation.
  • Experience architecting cloud native solutions or migrating on-prem solutions to cloud.
  • Ability to understand and articulate common architectural patterns and design principles.
  • Expertise in creating architecture diagrams to communicate design with other partners is required.
  • Experience in the design and implementation of sophisticated IT solutions (including scalable cloud-based solutions).
  • Experience with large enterprise level systems and handling data at scale. Certification and/or Experience with multiple public cloud providers (AWS, Azure) is required.
  • Hands on experience with analytics technologies such as Databricks, MS SQL Server, MongoDB, Collibra, PowerBI and Tableau.
  • Previous experience as a full stack software engineer is a plus.
  • Expertise in building out generative AI based tools and applications
  • Familiarity with large language models (LLMs) such as OpenAI or LLAMA
  • Experience working with vector databases such as Pinecone
  • Solid understanding of web services, API, REST, and RPC
  • Experience with building User Interfaces, UX Design and Java development a plus
  • Strong presentation skills with a high degree of comfort speaking with executives and developers.

Our compensation reflects the cost of labor across several  U.S. geographic markets, and we pay differently based on those defined markets. The U.S. pay range for this position is $134,800 -- $267,600 annually. Pay within this range varies by work location and may also depend on job-related knowledge, skills, and experience. Your recruiter can share more about the specific salary range for the job location during the hiring process.

At Adobe, for sales roles starting salaries are expressed as total target compensation (TTC = base + commission), and short-term incentives are in the form of sales commission plans. Non-sales roles starting salaries are expressed as base salary and short-term incentives are in the form of the Annual Incentive Plan (AIP).

In addition, certain roles may be eligible for long-term incentives in the form of a new hire equity award.
