The Opportunity

Adobe consults with C-level leadership at Adobe’s Enterprise customers to advise on strategies for customer-experience transformation and digital innovation. Adobe Digital Insights (ADI) works with strategic customers to help them understand how their business is performing relative to industry peers using Adobe’s unique data. Today, Adobe is at the forefront of enabling our customers’ digital transformation and new experience-led business models.

As a Data Scientist III you will work with large data sets to identify industry trends and benchmarks that will help Adobe customers make strategic decisions and empower digital marketers through thought leadership. You will need to find innovative ways for evaluating the digital strategies of the world’s top brands through analysis of their digital performance data made available via Adobe Experience Cloud, the largest collection of such data.

What you'll Do

This role will require you to query, organize, and mine both structured and unstructured elements of digital behavioral data to objectively and fairly compare companies with similar business. You will be part of the Growth Marketing & Insights practice and work closely with the various teams throughout Adobe to share the insights you find with enterprise customers. We’re looking for someone who is comfortable working in a fast-paced environment and can adapt to shifting conditions, and priorities, is meticulous and is a self-starter. This person will develop and prescribe the processes by which aggregate and anonymous digital benchmark data can be shared with customers. You will interact with internal users to define, synthesize and prioritize data requirements and work with engineering groups to assess the feasibility of potential approaches.

What you need to succeed

  • Advanced degree in computer science, economics, mathematics, statistics, physics, or other quantitative field where data analysis, quantitative problem solving, and the scientific method are emphasized
  • Experience writing code to analyze data using scripting language (Python, R)
  • Exceptional analytical and quantitative problem-solving skills, including conducting research, analyzing data, developing hypotheses, and synthesizing recommendations
  • Strong interpersonal skills with interact with people at all levels in an organization
  • Full stack data science experience; ETL, EDA, data wrangling, machine learning, classification, statistical inference, quantitative analysis, data visualization
  • Ability to communicate complex ideas effectively both verbally and in writing
  • Willingness to both teach others and learn new techniques
  • Ability to work collaboratively with internal partners across teams
  • High level of energy, personal drive, and positivity

Desirable skills:

  • Proficient in database querying (SQL, Mongo, or Hadoop)
  • Comfortable with multiple scripting languages (Python, R, PHP)
  • Experience writing, debugging, or maintaining code
  • Familiarity with data visualization software and techniques (Power BI, Tableau, D3.js)
