Job Description

We're looking for a world-class AI cloud services leader to lead our generative AI app integrations roadmap. Adobe Firefly services power generative AI features and experiences in a variety of applications like Generative Fill in Photoshop, Text to Vector in Illustrator, Text to Template in Express, Text to Image in multiple apps. In future, these services will power newer modalities like audio, video, 3D and multi-modal capabilities.

You will lead the US and global engineering teams focused on building Firefly pipelines and services to power generative features in Adobe’s apps/surfaces. Your goal will be to increase the velocity at which generative AI features are built and deployed and to implement a scalable process that multiplies Adobe’s generative AI capabilities surfaced in our products. You will also be responsible for operating high traffic GPU intensive pipelines for these generative workloads.

What You'll Do

  • Engage with Applied Research (and Research) groups and product teams like Photoshop, Illustrator, Express, and others to build an ambitious roadmap and plan to deliver end-to-end machine learning solutions that will power innovative new features in our flagship applications
  • Work with product management leadership and other key stakeholders to define the generative AI feature strategy and secure executive buy in
  • Partner with various platform teams to leverage existing inference systems or define new required enhancements to support new modalities (video, streaming, etc)
  • Lead planning and delivery of GPU optimized, efficient model pipelines for new Firefly features serving a variety of modalities like images, vectors, 3D, etc.
  • Grow and scale the process and global teams with a goal to increase the velocity of AI feature capability manifold.
  • Ensure the delivery of a scalable, reliable cloud service with observability, logging and tracing to enable quick detection, understanding and resolution of run-time issues

What You’ll Need to Succeed

  • A minimum of twelve years of industry experience, including atleast five years of engineering leadership.
  • A deep understanding of AI/ML, including ML frameworks, public cloud and commercial AI/ML solutions - familiarity with Pytorch, SageMaker, HuggingFace is required.
  • Image Processing, Computer Vision, Generative AI experience is strongly preferred
  • Atleast five years of AI/ML experience.
  • Knowledge about creation and optimization as well as operation of GPU intensive ML workloads in production environments
  • Understanding of model serving, orchestration, scaling and GPU resource management
  • A track record of attracting talent and leading multiple high-performance teams to deliver results in a fast-paced and dynamic environment of AI infrastructure
  • Strong communication and collaboration skills - building strong relationships with internal stakeholders and external partners
  • Strong analytical and problem-solving skills, with the ability to think strategically and make data-driven decisions
  • A passion for staying up to date with the latest trends and technologies in AI/ML - in the cloud and on device
  • A Bachelor's, Master's in Computer Science, Electrical Engineering, Computer Vision, or a related field, or equivalent industry experience

Our compensation reflects the cost of labor across several  U.S. geographic markets, and we pay differently based on those defined markets. The U.S. pay range for this position is $174,100 -- $346,800 annually. Pay within this range varies by work location and may also depend on job-related knowledge, skills, and experience. Your recruiter can share more about the specific salary range for the job location during the hiring process.

At Adobe, for sales roles starting salaries are expressed as total target compensation (TTC = base + commission), and short-term incentives are in the form of sales commission plans. Non-sales roles starting salaries are expressed as base salary and short-term incentives are in the form of the Annual Incentive Plan (AIP).

In addition, certain roles may be eligible for long-term incentives in the form of a new hire equity award.
