As the Sr Engineering Manager of Applied Machine Learning, you will be in charge of building technology stack that turns AEP data into actionable insights and cutting-edge solutions. Your role will be pivotal in driving AEP's mission forward, leveraging data to create meaningful, personalized experiences for users and delivering tangible business value to our clients.

What You’ll Do

  • Hire and directly lead a diverse team of world-class ML and software engineers while being responsible for driving all aspects of ML product development: ML modeling, data/ML pipelines, quality evaluations, productization, and ML monitoring.
  • Create and instill a team culture that focuses on sound scientific processes, engineering excellence, and encourages deep engagement with our customers and out of the box thinking
  • Mentor technical leaders and set high bars for excellence in architecture and code design
  • Participate in the design and review of features, technology choices, architecture, designs, time and budget estimates, and test strategies
  • Handle project scope and risks with data, analytics and creative problem solving
  • Develop and evolve engineering processes and collaboration models to optimize team efficiency and collaboration
  • Work closely with teams and managers across Adobe, in different geographies

What You Need to Succeed

  • S. / M.S. degree in Computer Science or equivalent
  • 5+ years as an engineer building ML-powered services or products
  • 5+ years as an engineering manager
  • Experience building and shipping large scale ML solutions.
  • Sound knowledge of common ML algorithms (e.g. propensity scores, look alike, recommendations) and trade-offs involved in their selection.
  • Strong data and analytics skills -- can tell a story with data and analytics.
  • Experience working with large scale data sets and data engineering tools.

Our compensation reflects the cost of labor across several  U.S. geographic markets, and we pay differently based on those defined markets. The U.S. pay range for this position is $160,200 -- $322,300 annually. Pay within this range varies by work location and may also depend on job-related knowledge, skills, and experience. Your recruiter can share more about the specific salary range for the job location during the hiring process.

At Adobe, for sales roles starting salaries are expressed as total target compensation (TTC = base + commission), and short-term incentives are in the form of sales commission plans. Non-sales roles starting salaries are expressed as base salary and short-term incentives are in the form of the Annual Incentive Plan (AIP).

In addition, certain roles may be eligible for long-term incentives in the form of a new hire equity award.
