The Opportunity

As part of the Experience and Engagement (XE) organization, the Experience Insights team delivers key findings across the business on how we can improve experiences, as well as measures impact of proposed changes. We are looking for a data scientist with a deep interest in data analysis and a burgeoning storyteller to join our team and to help us drive impact.

What you’ll do

The ideal candidate will have a strong business, data analytics background, who can identify, analyze, and interpret trends or patterns in complex and sophisticated data sets in an Enterprise SaaS company. Your day-to-day will include:

  • Use data extraction tools (SQL/Python) queries to answer product and business questions
  • Partner with product teams to understand their business and customer questions and design investigations to address them (e.g., breaking down the question into answerable pieces, identifying data sources, querying (multiple) data sources, troubleshooting data challenges, and delivering results)
  • Translate findings into crisp and clear presentations that outline recommendations for improving customer and/or product experiences
  • Design, implement, and analyze A/B experiments to provide analysis and impactful insights
  • Drive development and improvement of new and existing data sources and experiences (tables, dashboards etc.) as new product experiences emerge
  • Work directly with development teams on product instrumentation, product flow and data capture
  • Troubleshoot complex data challenges / anomalies and drive resolution with product and/or data partners

What you need to succeed

  • Masters degree in Business Analytics with at least 2-3 years of work experience
  • Must pay attention to details while staying grounded in the big picture
  • Strong in SQL and familiarity with at least one data science tool such as Python or R
  • Proficiency with data visualization tools (e.g. Power BI, Tableau)
  • Experience with web analytics (particularly Adobe Analytics) and/or text analytics are a plus
  • Excellent oral, written, and interpersonal communication skills and the ability to communicate clearly with all levels
  • Experience exploring large amounts of information, extracting insights, and achieving real-world results
  • High energy, strong work ethic, willingness to do what it takes to get to results
  • Excellent project management skills with an ability to set and achieve goals, meet deadlines, and multitask in matrixed environment
  • A passion for problem-solving, handling ambiguity well, and creative problem-solving when stuck
  • Demonstrated ability to work well in a team environment with fine-tuned collaboration skills

Our compensation reflects the cost of labor across several  U.S. geographic markets, and we pay differently based on those defined markets. The U.S. pay range for this position is $82,600 -- $153,100 annually. Pay within this range varies by work location and may also depend on job-related knowledge, skills, and experience.
