The Opportunity

We are seeking a seasoned engineering executive to lead a team of engineers to build and maintain the company's data infrastructure. This leader will work closely with the senior leadership team to execute the Adobe data & analytics charter, enable data driven operating model across the organization. The ideal candidate has experience managing large-scale data projects and building high-performance, scalable data systems.

What you'll do

  • Lead and manage a team of software and data engineers, providing guidance and mentorship to drive team performance and growth.
  • Build and maintain a high-performance, scalable data infrastructure that supports the company's growth and expansion.
  • Design and implement data pipelines, data lakes, and other data management systems to support efficient data processing, storage, and analysis.
  • Accountable for the accurate completion of the development work. Work with leaders to ensure performance indicators, planning, goals, objectives and expectations are aligned and result in a clear sense of ownership and accountability throughout the organization.
  • Collaborate with cross-functional teams, including product, corporate functions, engineering, and analytics, to ensure alignment and integration of data systems and processes.
  • Keep abreast and advise on new technology, best practice and market trend to improve data processing, storage, and analysis capabilities.
  • Ensure data security, privacy, and compliance with regulatory requirements.
  • Identify, hire, develop, inspire, and retain the best talent.
  • Manage vendor relationships and contracts related to data infrastructure and services.

What you need to succeed

  • Bachelor's or Master's degree in Computer Science, Engineering, or related field.
  • 10+ years of equivalent practical experience
  • Deep knowledge of data architecture, data modeling, data warehousing, and data integration processes.
  • Experience building and managing high-performance, scalable data systems.
  • Experience working with cloud-based data technologies such as AWS and Azure.
  • Experience with programming languages such as Python, Java.
  • Familiarity with SAP HANA, Hadoop and Spark.
  • Outstanding people and interpersonal skills, ability to work well in cross-functional situations and proven track record influencing other people at all levels.
  • Validated analytical and problem-solving abilities.
  • Knowledge of data governance, security, and compliance requirements.
  • Attention to detail; a positive, problem-solving, business-focused attitude; exercise of good judgment and the ability to prioritize substantial workload in a fast-paced environment.
  • Consistent record of delivering projects with ambitious timelines and sprints; can drive solutions quickly and efficiently with high value
  • Experience articulating technical solutions and how they can solve business problems to both technical and non-technical audience

Our compensation reflects the cost of labor across several  U.S. geographic markets, and we pay differently based on those defined markets. The U.S. pay range for this position is $180,500 -- $387,200 annually. Pay within this range varies by work location and may also depend on job-related knowledge, skills, and experience. Your recruiter can share more about the specific salary range for the job location during the hiring process.

At Adobe, for sales roles starting salaries are expressed as total target compensation (TTC = base + commission), and short-term incentives are in the form of sales commission plans. Non-sales roles starting salaries are expressed as base salary and short-term incentives are in the form of the Annual Incentive Plan (AIP).

In addition, certain roles may be eligible for long-term incentives in the form of a new hire equity award.
