We have a fantastic opportunity for a Senior Engineering Manager to join our Generative AI team based in Bucharest, Romania.

Position Summary

The Generative AI Bucharest engineering team is looking for a seasoned, passionate, and hands-on Senior Engineering Manager to drive the development of the next generation of Creative Cloud applications. You will lead the development of Machine Learning first features such as Neural Filters, while also driving the underlying model hosting and delivery infrastructure, as well as ethical dataset creation, curation, and management. You will work directly with the Digital Media leader in Adobe Romania, and you will have high visibility and responsibility within Adobe worldwide, especially within our US Generative AI group.

What you'll do:

• Hire and directly manage a team of world class engineers and machine learning scientists, while being responsible for driving all aspects of implementation, as well as of the development and operations process.
• Create and instill a team culture that focuses on engineering excellence, but also encourages deep engagement with our customers and out of the box thinking.
• Work closely with teams and managers across Adobe, in different geographies. The technology you produce will have visibility at the highest levels of the company and materially affect the positive impact products have on our customers.
• Develop and evolve engineering processes and collaboration models to optimize team efficiency.
• Work closely with teams and managers across Adobe, in different geographies.

What you'll need to succeed:

• BS or MS in Computer Science or a related field. Knowledge and/or experience building machine learning applications are a big plus.
• 8+ years of experience as an engineering manager, leading teams that built complex applications. Ability to balance the advantages of each approach in practice.
• Experience in building and leading organizations with multiple teams (30+) and managing a team of first line managers.
• Demonstrated ability to build a diverse team of top engineers and managers in a competitive job market.
• Strong analytical and problem-solving skills, with the ability to think strategically and make data-driven decisions.
• Strong working knowledge of modern software development methodologies and software design patterns. Demonstrated passion for continuous development - CI/CD.
• Outstanding ability to communicate technical concepts effectively to partner teams.
• Strong customer empathy and demonstrated engagement with customers and partners to truly delight users.
• Knowing the sweet spot between “getting it done” and building a sustainable product.
