Job Description

Our Company

Changing the world through digital experiences is what Adobe’s all about. We give everyone—from emerging artists to global brands—everything they need to design and deliver exceptional digital experiences! We’re passionate about empowering people to create beautiful and powerful images, videos, and apps, and transform how companies interact with customers across every screen.

We’re on a mission to hire the very best and are committed to creating exceptional employee experiences where everyone is respected and has access to equal opportunity. We realize that new ideas can come from everywhere in the organization, and we know the next big idea could be yours!

Firefly is a new product, service, and family of creative generative AI models coming to Adobe products that offers a new way to ideate, create, and scale content. It’s a natural, exponential extension of the technology that Adobe has created over the past 40 years.

At the heart of Firefly are our commercially safe generative AI models trained on hundreds of millions of images owned or licensed by Adobe. We are hiring a Principal Product Manager to lead this highly strategic and visible portfolio of technologies. They will evolve these models and the associated prompt engine. This is an opportunity to reach millions of creatives, helping them reinvent the way they work. #FireflyGenAI

The ideal candidate is a seasoned AI/ML product management leader with experience empowering applied AI/ML researchers to deliver best-in-class models. They excel at strategy. They thrive in ambiguity. They know when to be scrappy, and when to scale. They have an insatiable curiosity and uniquely high bar for quality. They are a systems thinker, and a builder at heart. They foster a fun, fast, inclusive, collaborative, empathetic, candid culture with their cross-functional partners.

What you'll do

  • Guide the development of our foundational AI models, prioritizing areas for exploration and improvement, and reviewing in-development models for image quality as they are being trained.
  • Prioritize generative AI features, models, and controls, engaging with product leaders from Adobe Flagship product teams (Photoshop, Lightroom, Illustrator, Premiere, After Effects, the Substance Suite, and more).
  • Design and manage the model quality process, including both automated pipelines and manual review.
  • Cultivate a community of artists to provide feedback at every stage of development, from early concept to post-release, and synthesize for the product and research teams.
  • Engage Adobe’s user community to understand their workflows and needs, and champion new products, features, and services to help them do their best work.
  • Push our new technologies to the limits, as a creative in your own right.

What you need to succeed

  • Bachelor's degree in computer science, computer engineering, AI/ML, or equivalent experience.
  • Proven experience (10+ years) as a Product Manager, preferably with a focus on AI-powered products.
  • Track record of working with applied researchers to build a portfolio of AI models.
  • A discerning eye for quality, and ability to qualify which properties and characteristics that make one image is better than another.
  • Experience leading cross-functional teams, with members bringing insights and experience from multiple domains. Ability to continuously improve the way we work, through process efficiency and automation.
  • Proactive in working across team boundaries to represent your users, crafting workflows that bring together innovative technologies and tools from multiple parts of the business.
  • Community-builder, able to attract and inspire a following of creatives to partner with you to help shape your roadmap.
