Job Description

Music is at the heart of a large class of creative endeavors and an integral part of content creation. To help everyone create compelling videos, podcasts, and more, we are re-imagining music technology with generative AI to simplify the music creation process dramatically. We are looking for a research scientist (junior or senior) who is passionate about music generation, audio sequence modeling, and/or generative AI/ML, to push the boundaries of the state of the art in the field and bring research ideas to life in the real world!

What you'll do

  • Develop new music generation technology to transform music creation for all.
  • Drive a research agenda on AI music generation with both short- and long-term impact.
  • Work together with other researchers, engineers, and product partners for real-world impact.
  • Engage with the scientific community, publish papers, and file patents based on your research.
  • Iterate on technologies that you invent and work with product teams to tech transfer your work into products.

What you need to succeed

  • PhD degree
  • Significant research experience in audio AI
  • Significant hands-on experience with machine learning frameworks and models
  • Deep insight into real-world audio applications
  • Strong communication and collaboration skill

Our compensation reflects the cost of labor across several  U.S. geographic markets, and we pay differently based on those defined markets. The U.S. pay range for this position is $157,900 -- $284,400 annually. Pay within this range varies by work location and may also depend on job-related knowledge, skills, and experience. Your recruiter can share more about the specific salary range for the job location during the hiring process.

At Adobe, for sales roles starting salaries are expressed as total target compensation (TTC = base + commission), and short-term incentives are in the form of sales commission plans. Non-sales roles starting salaries are expressed as base salary and short-term incentives are in the form of the Annual Incentive Plan (AIP).

In addition, certain roles may be eligible for long-term incentives in the form of a new hire equity award.
