The Search, Discovery, and Content AI Team drives customer success for Adobe Express, Creative Cloud, and Document Cloud. Creative professionals and novice users alike need the quick discovery of digital assets, libraries, the variety of creative content, and documents they work with every day, from brushes to colors, images, videos, and beyond. They also need AI-powered assistance to discover ingredients needed to complete their creative journey in a frictionless manner at scale.

How can you participate?

Our team focuses on developing innovative AI-powered search, recommendations, and assistive experiences using generative AI technologies across all modalities, including text, image, and videos, and creates an industry-leading technical platform to improve creative efficiency for creators, marketers and designers.

We’re looking for a top-notch ML engineer with deep expertise in ranking algorithms using generative AI technologies. This is an opportunity to make a huge impact in a fast-paced, startup-like environment in a great company. Join us!

Responsibilities :

  • Research and implement ranking ML models using Transformers, GPT, reinforcement learning, diffusion models, TensorFlow, and PyTorch
  • Build a relevance platform to rank billions of images, documents, videos, and other assets in real-time.
  • Fine-tune LLMs and Diffusion models to build state-of-the-art ranking models
  • Conduct innovative research on novel LLM architectures and training methods, focusing on creative applications
  • Leverage the user’s intent, context, deep content understanding, and behavioral data as ranking signals.
  • Design Whole page relevance by aggregating diverse content and ranking based on a query to asset type affinity.
  • Process Multimodal (Text, Image, Video) intent and contextually assist the user by recommending ingredients and generating rich artifacts to enable a streamlined user journey.
  • Align Text and visual modalities by fine-tuning CLIP for the creative domain
  • Unlock Assistive Experience in creative products through the adoption of foundation models
  • Develop robust methods to evaluate LLM performance, ensuring ethical AI practices that reflect Adobe’s standards
  • Masters' degree or PhD in computer science, statistics, engineering, or other relevant subject area highly preferred
  • 8+ years of relevant experience required

Our compensation reflects the cost of labor across several U.S. geographic markets, and we pay differently based on those defined markets. The U.S. pay range for this position is $141,100 -- $281,700 annually. Pay within this range varies by work location and may also depend on job-related knowledge, skills, and experience. At Adobe, for sales roles starting salaries are expressed as total target compensation (TTC = base + commission), and short-term incentives are in the form of sales commission plans. Non-sales roles starting salaries are expressed as base salary and short-term incentives are in the form of the Annual Incentive Plan (AIP).

In addition, certain roles may be eligible for long-term incentives in the form of a new hire equity award.
