Desired Skills and Experience:

  • 5+ years of relevant Data Science experience
  • Bachelor of Science and 5 years' data science experience OR Master of Science and 3 years' data science experience.
  • Supervised and unsupervised machine learning.
  • Model governance.
  • Model monitoring.
  • Strong production deployment background.
  • Strong in Python coding.
  • NLP and or Deep Learning skills.
  • Cloud Experience.
  • Mentoring and leading junior data scientists.

Plusses:

  • Ph.D candidates.
  • Retail experience.
  • Full Machine Learning lifecycle projects (from exploratory data analysis to model deployment and monitoring).
  • Ability to translate result sets into actionable insights that is understandable by a business audience.
  • Experience with Google Big Query.

Day-to-Day:

  • Responsible for analyzing large data sets to develop custom models and algorithms to drive business solutions.
  • Building large data sets from multiple sources to build algorithms for predicting future data characteristics. Those algorithms will be tested, validated, and applied to large data sets.
  • Training the algorithms so they can be applied to future data sets and provide the appropriate search results.
  • Researching new trends in the industry and utilizing up-to-date technology.
  • Conduct advanced statistical analysis to determine trends and significant data relationships.
  • Build learning systems to analyze and filter continuous data flows and offline data analysis
  • Depending on the problem, build time Series, computer vision, NLP or basic predictive models.

  • Advising on?analysis?and?modeling techniques,?selecting the?best fit?for structured?& unstructured, complex data,?and developing?custom analytics models?to?generate insights that drive value for our customers and?unlock competitive advantage for?our organization. 
  • Collaborating with our data engineers?to?gather?the right?information from?our?various sources?so that you can?implement advanced statistical methodologies?and design interventions to optimize how our business can best perform. 
  • Conducting?exploratory?analysis?including hypothesis testing,?statistical inference, and statistical analysis (predictive?and/or prescriptive). 
  • Partnering with business and technical stakeholders to translate?challenging retail?business problems?into?state-of-the-art data science?solutions.?
  • Developing processes and tools?that?monitor,?analyze?and continuously improve?model performance and data accuracy.?

  • You’re?experienced?with languages?used?to manipulate data and draw insights from large data sets?(e.g.?Python, R, SQL, etc.).
  • You’re?proficient?using?database technologies and distributed datastores (e.g. SQL, NoSQL)
  • You?have experience?with?Spark,?Hive?and TensorFlow etc.
  • You’re experienced in participating and/or running a model governance organization (MGO).
