Job Description

Want to use your data science skills to help grow an impressive retail organization? The Sr. Manager of art Finance Data Sciences is a leadership role requiring strong modeling and analytical capabilities to drive sizable, complex, cross functional results. Supporting the entire art US segment, the role requires a broad understanding across the entire business to enable collaboration with multiple business stakeholders to gain an understanding of complex organizational problems from varied perspectives. This role influences the business to redefine the problem statement and designs multi-stage, data-driven solutions to real-world problems. This role directly partners with our Business Transformation team to build out products and services that streamline/improve how our Associates work. Critical to the role is also a deep understanding of how to integrate analytics into product features that redefine the productivity of our Associates.

You’ll sweep us off our feet if:

• You are curious and relentlessly ask questions
• You are skilled in R, Python, SQL and other relevant techniques
• You are experienced with operational research (OR), modeling, statistics, optimization, statistical modeling, neural nets and reinforcement learning
• You have experience in building large-scale machine-learning models and simulation, scenario & “what if” modeling
• You have experience with cloud environment including Azure, Google Cloud, etc.
• You’re proficient using database technologies and distributed datastores (e.g. SQL, NoSQL) 
• You have strong experience in Mathematics and/or Stats. 
• You connect the how and why, using your knowledge of data science theories and methodologies to derive the best approach that is fit for purpose.
• Solid coding practices including good design documentation, unit testing, and integration testing
• You’re stimulated by challenges and are ready to engage at Fortune 1 scale

You’ll make an impact by:

• Building strategic relationships -- Engaging with stakeholders across Business, Business Transformation, Product and Engineering teams to identify opportunities for data science solutions.
• Operating with excellence -- Defining best practices and communicating a clear vision for how analytics/algorithms should be implemented into products.
• Deliver - Creating and delivering innovative initiatives. Run Sprint/quarter and annual planning, and foster cross-team collaboration to execute complex projects
• Build our Team -- Participating in hiring and developing top talents, provide technical and career development path to both scientists and engineers in the organization
