The Data Strategy & Insights (DS&I) team plays a critical role in enabling this objective, in concert with art’s Legal, Digital Citizenship, Platform and Technology teams. Our team reviews, audits and advises AI/ML solutions, enables data scientists with tooling, development, and deployment methods, manages the model catalog and life cycle governance processes, and guides high impact customer, associate and supplier products through the compliance program. We also help shape the policies, standards and processes to advance the responsible use of technology for societal benefits.

Responsibilities

About the team: Reporting to art’s Chief Data Officer, the Data Science Center of Excellence (DS COE) within DS&I will lead a high-performing team responsible for our AI/ML governance, delivery, and research. One of the objectives of the DS COE is to ensure that we have instituted policies and standards to ensure our AI/ML solutions are fulfilling the digital commitments. The DS COE will also play a critical role in the broader AI/ML governance process that include model change management, inventory, auditing and monitoring and operation excellence.

About the role: This role will have opportunities to consult, design and develop solutions to measure, diagnose and mitigate the bias in our AI/ML solutions. By collaborating with our data scientists and machine learning engineers,?this role will help prioritize, develop and implement technical solutions to support fairness mandates, scientific excellence and security reviews.

The ideal candidate will have some academic or industrial experience in AI/ML to achieve Fair AI or Explainable AI outcomes.

  • You will be able to help refine our Fair AI/ML policy in collaboration with stakeholders across the enterprise. 
  • You will be able to translate fairness, explainability, privacy, security, or robustness mandates into technical guidelines and engineering requirement that will operate at scale.?
  • You will be able to conduct applied research to address fairness issues in the areas of Natural Language Processing, Knowledge Mining, Deep Learning, Classification and Computer Vision.
  • You will be able to communicate internally and externally through publication, presentations, and other mediums on research progress, major breakthroughs and product innovation. 

Minimum Qualifications... 

  • Option 1: Bachelors degree in Statistics, Economics, Analytics, Mathematics, Computer Science, Information Technology or related field and 2 years' experience in an analytics or related field.
  • Option 2: Masters degree in Statistics, Economics, Analytics, Mathematics, Computer Science, Information Technology or related field. Option 3: 4 years' experience in an analytics or related field.
