Job Description

We are seeking a talented Engineering Data Scientist who is excited at the prospect of joining a dynamic team delivering data engineering, analytics and science solutions to our Boeing engineering programs and customers.

Working as part of our Digital Engineering capability, you will contribute to the continuous development of the Boeing Defence Australia Data Analytics Framework, Digital Thread, operations and data analytics solutions that will enable Boeing and the Australian Defence Force to more effectively operate, maintain and sustain its platforms.

Responsibilities

  • Support engineering programs with development of data analytics applications and pipelines that exploit modern data engineering, analysis, machine learning, artificial intelligence and modelling and simulation.
  • Develop system and simulation models and prototypes to demonstrate the capability and value of advanced data engineering and analytics techniques.
  • Support the growth of the data science, operations research and digital engineering capability across Boeing Defence Australia
  • Developing business intelligence solutions to inform large engineering program performance management and decision support

Experience/Qualifications

  • Tertiary degree qualifications with a minimum of 5+ years' experience in data science, data engineering and/or mathematical simulation and data modelling.
  • Experience in designing and developing solutions across the data analytics maturity scale (i.e. descriptive, diagnostics, predictive and prescriptive).
  • Demonstrated experience implementing algorithms and models with Python, R and other relevant programming languages.
  • Demonstrated experience developing complex data visualisation and reporting environments in analytics platforms such as Tableau, Google Cloud Platform etc
  • Strong communication and statistical skills with ability to communicate complex information to business stakeholders and customers.
