Boeing’s Enterprise Services organization is seeking a Senior Business Intelligence Analyst (Level 4 or 5) to support our transformation journey.

Enterprise Services is a team of 2,500+ employees whose collective mission is to enable the build of Boeing’s products. Enterprise Services provides strategic partnership and support to all Boeing business units through multiple service towers – creating outsized impact and value across the Enterprise. In this position, you will be a part of Enterprise Services' Operational Excellence & Transformation team.

We are looking for someone that is curious and looks for insights in data and turns them into practical and measurable outcomes. The ability to talk about data in business terms and language and someone who is a storyteller at their core is ideal for this role.

Position Responsibilities:

  • Engage broadly with Services Towers and functional partners to frame, structure, and prioritize business problems
  • Mine datasets to identify information & insights which are relevant to answering key questions and highlight key indicators to drive actions
  • Work with multiple data sets and databases that don’t link and don’t talk to each other and find ways to link them to enable the building of data sets, presentations, and stories
  • Able to uncover meaningful information from disparate and complex data and summarize in simple terms
  • Understand the logic and data sources behind reports and analysis that we have been given in order to find issues, inconsistencies, and solutions
  • Must be logic oriented and create complex formulas which account for multiple sources and variables
  • Work with the Director of Operational Intelligence to build visual display and stories out of data; share story through graphs, diagrams, and data that are self-explanatory and drive useful outcomes
  • Provide relevant and practical insights using data in a simple to understand format using both verbal and written communication to key partners
  • Understand and speak to different levels within the organization (from data analyst to VP)
  • Speak in depth about the different data sets, fields, taxonomy, reporting suites, platforms, data systems, system architecture, and ERPs, in language that the relevant audiences will understand
  • Work with Director to Operational Intelligence to help manage and implement data solutions as well as support data projects
  • Build recurring reports/dashboards and analysis using various platforms: Tableau, Microsoft BI, PowerPivot, Power Query; lead ongoing maintenance, updating, and building of data reports
  • Take directions that are inconsistent, brief, and vague and both interpret & produce materials for reaction to and know follow-up questions to deliver accurate work
  • Understand data systems and architecture across Enterprise Service towers and create data plans, approaches and strategies to enable Enterprise Services to be more efficient and take advantage of data system functionality

  • Service Tower Leadership (Indirect Supply Chain, Global Real & Facilities, Executive Flight)
  • Build external relations with vendors and/or consultant parties
  • Finance partners

This position is hybrid. This means that the selected candidate will be required to perform some work onsite at one of the listed location options. This is at the hiring team’s discretion and could potentially change in the future.

This position requires travel to major U.S. Boeing sites as needed, likely once a quarter.

Basic Qualifications (Required Skills/Experience):

5+ years of work experience with Microsoft Excel using: formulas, VLookups, pivot tables, charts, filters, and linking worksheets

  • 5+ years of experience with PowerPoint and creating presentations
  • 3+ years of experience in Business Intelligence/data analytics tools (Microsoft Power BI, Dashboards, SQL, Tableau, etc.)
  • 3+ years of experience using SQL

Preferred Qualifications (Desired Skills/Experience):

  • 10+ years of related work experience or an equivalent combination of education and experience
  • Bachelor's degree or higher
  • Experience working on large scale programs focused on data integration & analytics
  • Experience delivering business and data analytics solutions in a manufacturing, engineering, energy sector, oil and gas industry, or another type of operations environment
  • Knowledge of SAP Ariba
  • Interpersonal and communication skills – both down and out
  • Experience demonstrating a continuous improvement mindset
  • Experience taking problems and creating solutions to deliver value for customers
  • Experience understanding customer needs and tailoring the message presented depending on the audience
  • Experience mentoring and coaching others
  • Ability to collaborate across the globe

Typical Education/Experience: 

Senior (Level 4): Education/experience typically acquired through advanced technical education (e.g. Bachelor) and typically 9 or more years' related work experience or an equivalent combination of technical education and experience (e.g. PhD + 4 years' related work experience, Master + 7 years' related work experience, 13 years' related work experience, etc.)

Senior (Level 5): Education/experience typically acquired through advanced technical education (e.g. Bachelor) and typically 14 or more years' related work experience or an equivalent combination of technical education and experience (e.g. PhD + 9 years' related work experience, Master + 12 years' related work experience, 18 years' related work experience, etc.).

Relocation:

Level 4 Summary pay range: $104,550 - $162,150

Level 5 Summary pay range: $119,850 - $187,450
