Boeing’s Enterprise Production Systems Engineering organization has an exciting opportunity for an Experienced Data Scientist to join our data analytics team in Charleston, SC.

Our Enterprise Production Systems Engineering organization is seeking an experienced data scientist to support the Strategic Integration Office Data Analytics Team. Our team aims to leverage Boeing's data assets to unlock insights, intelligence, and prediction to gain strategic advantage using the power of data analytics. The team's broad experience across engineering and manufacturing coupled with their expertise in building automated analytics solutions enables our Functional Chief Engineers to make decisionalytics Team. Position Responsibilities:

  • Determine, define, and deploy predictive and prescriptive analytics solutions to meet business objectives
  • Choose best fit methods, defines algorithms, validates and deploys models to achieve business results
  • Performs necessary data preparation and enhancements to models
  • Lead with innovation to build analytics related to engineering and manufacturing
  • Support the maturation of data engineering using big-data platforms and ETL methodologies
  • Develop machine learning models to create predictive indicators that support risk analysis or recommend preventive actions
  • Create solutions on behalf of Enterprise Production Systems Engineering that increase stability of factory processes, tools, and equipment

This position allows telecommuting. The selected candidate will be required to perform some work onsite at one of the listed location options .

Basic Qualifications:

  • Bachelor of Science degree from an accredited course of study, in Computer Engineering, Software Engineering, Computer Science, or other technical degree
  • 3+ years of experience with large data (“big data”) analytics (e.g. statistical inference, or machine learning)
  • 3+ years of experience in ETL (extract-transform-load)
  • 3+ years of experience developing reports and insights utilizing reporting/data analytical/business intelligence tools such as Tableau, Power BI and Cognos
  • 3+ years of experience in Data Science
  • Experience in Python and/or R

Preferred Qualifications:

  • Experience working in Production Systems Engineering or Industrial Engineering
  • Experience in development of customizable NLP pipeline
  • Experience in factory machine analysis
  • MS Computer Science or Data Analytics / ML
