The Transportation, Warehousing & Logistics (TWL) team is seeking a Senior Business Intelligence Analyst to lead TWL BI and Analytics initiatives, analysis, recommendations and system deployments.

The position will focus on supporting the Transportation Warehousing Logistics (TWL) organization. Transportation, Warehousing & Logistics has the enterprise-wide responsibility, accountability, and authority to manage and accomplish logistics service. Other responsibilities include partnering with IT and providing support to develop funding requests, benchmarking and business case analysis.

This position is located in either Mesa, Arizona or Seattle, Washington.

Position Responsibilities:

  • Works within a framework of accountability under general or broad direction depending on level. Uses discretion in identifying and responding to complex issues and assignments. Plans own work to meet given objectives and processes. Determines when issues should be escalated to a higher level
  • Provides timely guidance and feedback to help others strengthen specific knowledge/skill areas needed to accomplish a task or solve a problem. Plans and coordinates development activities and/or the transfer of knowledge.
  • Influences customers, suppliers, partners, and others on the contribution of own specialism. Builds effective business relationships. Makes decisions that influence the success of project and team objectives.
  • Leads in designing complex Business Intelligence information models, dashboards, metrics and reports utilizing standard technologies and methodologies that meet business objectives. Assesses current technology for best fit.
  • Discovers new opportunities and solutions for problems by looking beyond current practices and using innovative thinking. Tries different and novel ways to deal with work problems and opportunities.
  • The ability to achieve desired outcomes on projects, on-time and within budget. Ability to define the project, design and plan the project, and manage the project team. Ability to control and deliver project deliverables, project accounting and appraisal, and optimize the contribution of the people involved.
  • Ability to model and analyze data from a computing technical and specific business process viewpoint; integrates the data into a computing system and application architecture. Ability to interrelate, from system architecture, design, build, test, and deploy the fundamental aspects needed to produce effective computing solutions.
  • Combines programming, SQL skills, best practices and business expertise to deliver efficient and scalable Business Intelligence solutions to improve business productivity and business outcomes.
  • Generate summary and specified dashboard accounts which represent operational data in brief and intelligible format, suitable for the target audience, which includes executive leadership department managers and executive board of directors
  • This position allows telecommuting. The selected candidate will be required to perform some work onsite at one of the listed location options.

This position must meet Export Control compliance requirements, therefore a U.S. Person” as defined by 22 C.F.R. § 120.15 is required. “U.S. Person” includes U.S. Citizen, lawful permanent resident, refugee, or asylee.

Basic Qualifications (Required Skills/Experience):

  • 7+ years of experience in Technical Consulting, problem definition, BI, Analytics, Design, and configuration.
  • 4+ years of experience leading/managing Business Intelligence and Analytics initiatives/Teams
  • Experience in Logistics / Warehousing / Packaging data
  • Experience working with DB Servers – Terra data, Oracle, SQL.
  • Experience working with ETL tools like SSIS, Dataiku, Alteryx, Python, R etc.
  • Experience in working with Reporting tools like Tableau
  • Experience in predictive analysis and modelling
  • Demonstrated presentation skills for multiple audiences including executive leadership
