BGS Total Quality is looking for a Data Systems Engineer/Scientist (Business Intelligence & Architecture) a to join their Core & International Quality (CIQ) team in Charleston, SC, Mesa, AZ, or Hazelwood, MO. This position will focus on supporting the Boeing Global Services (BGS) business organization.

Our teams are currently hiring for a broad range of experience levels including; Associate, Experienced and Senior Data Systems Engineers/Scientists (Business Intelligence & Architecture).

This position allows telecommuting. The selected candidate may be required to work onsite at one of the listed location options.

Position Responsibilities:

  • A leader, first and foremost.
  • Support the BGS Total Quality Vision & Strategy
  • Implementation of both PaaS (i.e. Data Lake, AI + ML capabilities) and SaaS Cloud solutions
  • Streamlining of BGS Total Quality Preferred Systems
  • Preferred Systems application dependency mapping
  • Dashboard creation via Tableau
  • Support the maturation of digital operations with digital proficiency
  • Digitize the method and analytics used to build existing reports and metrics (inclusive of identifying the manual and digital movement (Push & Pull) of data; Identify the hardware and software applications used; Identify opportunities for valued digital transformation)
  • Support the BGS Total Quality Digital Transformation
  • Support the BGS Total Quality Digital Transformation Plan identifying tasks and schedules
  • Support the identification of Business Intelligent software/applications
  • Support the development of machine learning models to create predictive indicators and support risk analysis and preventive actions
  • Participate in the DE (2CES) Quality IPT Bedrock Teams
  • Communicate DE (2CES) Quality IPT activities with BGS Total Quality Personnel
  • Identify and Engage BGS Total Quality on 2CES Quality IPT Bedrock Agile Teams
  • Actively participate and execute MOM, ERP and PLM Bedrock Team development and actions
  • Engage in all DE (2CES) Quality IPT Level activities.
  • Bridge BGS Total Quality Preferred Systems with 2CES System Solutions
  • Inventory, Monitor and Maintain BGS Quality IT Systems for Affordability & Efficiency.

Basic Qualifications:

  • Bachelor of Science degree from an accredited course of study, in Computer Engineering, Software Engineering, Computer Science, or other technical degree
  • Experience with these tools; PowerBI, Azure DevOps, SaaS, Data Integration tools - Azure Databricks & Data Factory
  • 3+ years of experience with large data (“big data”) analytics (e.g. statistical inference, or machine learning)
  • Experience with the following tools and technologies: Hadoop, Spark, Kafka, Nifi, Relational SQL and NoSQL databases
  • 3+ years' experience in ETL (extract-transform-load)
  • 3+ years of experience developing reports and insights utilizing reporting/data analytical/business intelligence tools such as Tableau, Spotfire, Power BI and Maximo
  • 3+ years' experience programming with Java, C++, Python, Scala, or Go
  • Experience in Python and/or R
  • Cloud provider experience (AWS/Azure / GCP)
  • 3+ years of experience in Data Science

Preferred Qualifications:

  • 5+ years of experience with large data (“big data”) analytics (e.g. statistical inference, or machine learning)
  • 5+ years' experience in ETL (extract-transform-load)
  • 5+ years of experience developing reports and insights utilizing reporting/data analytical/business intelligence tools such as Tableau, Spotfire, Power BI and Maximo
  • 5+ years' experience programming with Java, C++, Python, Scala, or Go
  • 5+ years of experience in Data Science
  • 5+ years of Spark development experience; worked on big data projects (ie. MapR / Teradata; prior experience with Hadoop as well as traditional databases)
  • Hands-on design and development experience in Scala / R
  • Convert existing pandas/scikit-learn/R workloads over to Spark and SparkML
  • Experience in development of customizable NLP pipeline
  • Experience in chatbot sentiment analysis
  • MS Computer Science or Data Analytics / ML
