Job Description

Role & responsibilities

• Monitor and provide technical support for daily time-critical mass production process for pricing thousands of OTC derivatives in European funds (with deadline 7:45 am CET) using a proprietary in-house valuation engine based on Python
• Collaborate closely with IT service desk (esp. IST time zone) to solve data processing issues
• Assist with setup and review of new derivative positions and market data in internal SQL database
• Develop new features in the HTML/Vue web front-end and Python back-end environment
• Get involved in additional smaller projects, from DevOps process automation to API data interfaces and more

Experience / Qualifications and Skills

• Advanced Master- or PhD-student in Computer Science, Software Engineering, Data Science or comparable (Mathematics,

  Physics, etc.), with strong interest in new technologies

• Strong programming background (Python, SQL, docker, HTML, JavaScript) and experience with JavaScript framework (preferably Vue, Angular, React)
• High commitment, motivation and willingness to take on responsibility
• Ability to work independently and flexibly
• Operations mindset: regard the Operations function as essential part of an organization with aim to deliver process stability
• Profincient in spoken and written English
• Knowledge in quant finance (such as financial instruments and valuation methods) not a must, but advantageous

**Prirority will be given to students who can work for longer term (minimum 6 months) on a part-time basis after completing this 3-month full-time internship. Alternatively, students can choose to work on a part time basis for 6 months or longer without the full-time internship. The working hours of the part-time position will be 4 hours (only afternoon HKT), min 2-3 days per week.
