What you do

Reporting to the Head of Analytics, you as Data Scientist you’ll help to support the ambitious growth & profitability targets. In order to support the ambitious growth & profitability targets, Allianz Partners has launched an initiative to enhance our data analytics and AI capabilities. As part of this initiative a team is developing state-of-the-art data-driven solutions across business functions in close cooperation with the respective subject matter experts. We are looking for a data scientist with high expertise in machine learning and advanced data analytics.

Key responsibilities: 

• Applying advanced machine learning and statistical techniques to solve complex business problems.
• Developing, testing, and deploying machine learning models to production environments.
• Building and optimizing data and analytics pipelines, with a focus on scalability and efficiency.
• Utilizing your expertise in Python, SQL, and relevant data science libraries to analyze and manipulate data effectively.
• Collaborating with cross-functional teams to translate data-driven insights into actionable business strategies.
• Leveraging cloud platforms like AWS or Azure to manage and analyze large datasets.
• Containerizing data science applications using Docker and Kubernetes for efficient deployment.
• Utilizing GitHub and established workflows for version control, collaboration, and code management.
• Rapidly prototyping using Streamlit, Dash, or similar tools to enable stakeholders to interact with data and models, facilitating decision-making.
• Communicating findings and insights to both technical and non-technical stakeholders through clear and concise presentations.
• Supporting colleagues and sharing expertise with the data science community in Allianz Partners and Allianz Group.

What you bring

• Proficiency in Python and SQL, including experience with popular frameworks such as NumPy, Pandas, Scikit-Learn, XGBoost, Shapely, Plotly, Huggingface, PyTorch, NLTK, Streamlit, MLFlow, and SQLAlchemy.
• Strong understanding of machine learning (ML) and statistical techniques, with a track record of developing and deploying ML models.
• Expertise in containerization technologies like Docker and Kubernetes.
• Proficiency in SQL and, ideally also, NoSQL databases.
• Experience with GitHub and established workflows for version control and collaboration.
• Willingness to take over responsibility, develop concepts and drive models into implementation.
• Experience in working with agile methodologies in a fast-paced, dynamic, and international environment.
• Intercultural sensitivity and international experience.
• Highly developed interpersonal skills (i.e., communication, presentation, and negotiation also with non-technical audiences).
