Job Description

Since 2016, Allianz France has been developing significant capacities in the fields of Big Data and AI. This resulted in the creation of a dedicated department in 2018 bringing together many different skills: Data Scientists, Data Analysts, Data Engineers, Data Product Owners, web developers, etc.

The Big Data & AI Factory is part of this department. This team has 3 agile scrums for a total of more than 40 people and its area of expertise includes :

• Implement end-to-end data projects: from new opportunities study up to production and follow-up in run
• Create new big data & AI projects with very strong business impacts: our apps and APIs are used daily by hundreds of people at Allianz and thousands of customers
• Centralize expertise on technologies around Big Data & AI: predictive modelling, risk scoring, graph data, computer vision, open data, NLP, etc.
• Drive innovation at Allianz France, for instance with the creation of the Innovation Lab
• Improve processes of the company and automation of cumbersome tasks

Fraud detection, risk analysis (geographical risks, financial risks, etc.), identity theft detection, email analysis, image analysis, voice bots, and much more. The team is very well established and has such experience and expertise that it can manage a dozen projects in production while regularly delivering new ones.

Key responsibilities

Within the Big Data & AI Factory team, under the Head of Data Science you will be Senior Data Scientist, with the following responsibilities :

• Ensure of role of expertise on the projects of the scrum and the underlying data while having a transverse vision of the activities in other scrums
• Carry out studies to analyse new project opportunities or respond to business requests by directly interacting with business teams
• Laying the groundwork for new projects

• Participate in the industrialization of new projects or improvements of existing projects
• Ensure a technological watch to offer ever more efficient tools and methods
• Mentor junior Data Scientists

Key skills

Let’s talk about you :

• Master's degree or higher in a quantitative discipline (Statistics, Computer Science, Math, Engineering, etc.) or equivalent relevant work experience
• 3+ years of experience in a Data Science or Big Data related field
• Experience working with agile methodology
• Successful experience in a related context with a particular focus on industrializing data projects
• Expertise with data analysis tools
• Languages: python, pyspark, SQL
• Database: PostgreSQL, Elastic
• Version Control: git, GitHub, CI/CD
• Jobs & pipelines management: Luigi or equivalent
• Logs: prometheus, graphana
• A business-oriented mindset to bring the most valuable products for our business partners
• Rigorous to ensure deliverables of good quality
• Didactic to present technical topics to our business partners
• Professional use of English
