At Allianz Technology we are looking for a Data Scientist Intern to be part of an international team of Data Scientists.

You will have the opportunity to help design and shape various data products for data science, machine learning and artificial intelligence along the insurance value chain.

We're looking for people who are passionate about uncovering solutions hidden in big data sets and collaborating with stakeholders to improve business outcomes.

As part of Allianz Technology, the Data Modeling and Engineering (DME) department assumes a number of key functions.

DMEI bundles 5 key solutions based on the Allianz Kern insurance data model to optimize important business processes:

From processing and archiving (1) core insurance information and developing analytics and reports (2) to detecting and investigating fraud (3) to predicting natural catastrophe scenarios (4) - all combined with robotics - process automation and AI (5 ) - our portfolio bundles the critical processes in one unit.

We are a multinational team with colleagues from all parts of the world working together in our globally distributed offices such as Germany, Hungary, India, Thailand and many more. Our model is particularly successful due to the forced cooperation between the multinational teams distributed around the world.

areas of responsibility

• Contribute to the success of Allianz Technology and transform Allianz into a data-driven company
• Research new data technologies and contribute to the continuous development of the Applied Data Science team
• Contribute to shaping the future of data science at Allianz by developing and selling AI products
• Development of end-to-end solution blueprints for our international stakeholders including data engineering, machine learning and AI algorithms or custom algorithm development
• Identify innovation opportunities through analysis of Allianz's business

Requirements/knowledge/experience

• You are currently enrolled in a bachelor's or master's degree in IT, computer science, mathematics or physics.
• Good knowledge of Python or R, SQL
• Well developed analytical, logical and problem solving skills
• Enhanced ability to perform exploratory data analysis and visualize data
• Familiarity with data management tools
• Excellent communication and presentation skills in English (German is a plus)
• You are available immediately and are interested in a full-time internship (38h/week) for 6 months
