The Impact You Will Have 

As a Working Student you will report to the Global Head of Multinational Business Excellence, Performance and Strategy, and you will have the opportunity to gain practical experience in a dynamic and fast-paced environment responsible for supporting the Performance Steering team in analyzing and interpreting complex data sets, developing insights, and contributing to the development and implementation of data-driven strategies that will have a direct impact on our business. 

Some of your specific responsibilities could include:

  • Assist in analyzing large datasets using statistical techniques and data analytics tools to identify trends, patterns, and insights that can drive business decision-making.
  • Utilize advanced Excel functions, such as pivot tables, macros, and data modeling, to analyze and manipulate data efficiently.
  • Support the team in data quality improvement, data cleaning, data transformation, and data integration tasks to ensure the accuracy and reliability of the data used.
  • Stay updated with the latest trends, techniques, and tools in data analytics and data science. Contribute to the team's continuous improvement efforts by identifying opportunities for enhancing existing processes and methodologies.
  • Collaborate with team members to create clear and visually appealing data visualizations, dashboards, and reports that effectively communicate complex information to various stakeholders.
  • Work with cross-functional teams, including actuaries, business analysts, and IT professionals, to understand business requirements and ensure the alignment of data analytics initiatives with organizational goals.
  • Assist in documenting data analytics processes, methodologies, and findings in a clear and concise manner to facilitate knowledge sharing and ensure reproducibility.

What You’ll Bring to the Role

  • Currently enrolled in a relevant undergraduate or graduate program in a quantitative field such as Data Science, Statistics, Mathematics, Economics, Computer Science, or a related discipline.
  • Strong analytical skills and a passion for working with data.
  • Proficiency in using data analytics tools such as Python, R, SQL, or similar programming languages.
  • Advanced Excel skills, including the ability to utilize functions like pivot tables, macros, and data modeling.
  • Knowledge and experience with data visualization tools like Tableau, Power BI, or similar platforms.
  • Familiarity with statistical concepts and techniques, such as regression analysis, hypothesis testing, and predictive modeling.
  • Excellent problem-solving abilities and the ability to think critically and creatively.
  • Strong attention to detail and the ability to work independently and within a team environment.
  • Effective communication skills, both written and verbal.
  • Prior experience or coursework in data analytics, data science, or related fields is a plus.

Further Information:

  • Duration at least 6 months (preferably longer) 
  • Working hours: 20 hours/week 
  • Enrollment at the university/college is a prerequisite for the duration of employment.
