Job Description
Our team has an immediate 12-month contract opening for an Engineer.
Responsibilities:
- Simulate, analyze, and design different microwave photonics systems
- Propose different architectures, components, and algorithms to address the challenging requirements of our computing platforms
- Model microwave photonics platforms numerically and analytically
- Work in collaboration with other silicon photonics designers to design and test different architectures
- Proactively work to achieve challenging goals and create IP by innovative designs and architectures
- Produce documentation and technical reviews
Job requirements
What you'll bring to the team:
- MSc in electrical engineering, physics or relevant field
- 3+ years of research experience in microwave photonics
- Proficiency in photonic simulation tools such as Lumerical, COMSOL, Photon Design
- Excellent programming skills (Python/C)
- Motivated self-starter with excellent communication skills in written and spoken English
- Good teamwork spirit and adaptability
- Thrive in a dynamic, innovative, research and prototyping oriented environment
- General knowledge of machine learning techniques and/or wireless systems.
