Job Description
Our team has an immediate permanent opening for a Staff Engineer - Computational Storage.
Responsibilities:
- Research and develop storage indexing algorithms.
- Perform system testing for high availability and reliable storage solutions.
- Develop problem determination solution for root cause identification and resolution on Storage environment.
- Work as part of a small, high performance, and startup-like team mainly using C/C++/Java/Python for development.
Job requirements
What you’ll bring to the team：
- Strong Knowledge and experience in algorithms, data structures, database, and transaction processing.
- Strong understanding of database fundamentals, such as, transaction management, storage engine, MVCC, recovery, HA.
- Strong knowledge of JAVA, C/C++, and Python.
- Strong research capability and ability to learn new technologies/products quickly.
- Excellent communication and presentation skills are required.
- Good analytics skills. Ability to handle complex tasks by assessing issues and breaking down problems to reach an optimal solution.
- Good understanding of computing technologies, such as, storage, distributed systems, parallel computations, consistency protocols.
- Distributed system research background
