Job Description

Responsibilities:

1.????? Maintain, test, and upgrade hardware and software systems installed on autonomous test vehicles

2.????? Measuring the performance of designed mechanical components and installed sensors and devices and provide feedback to the technical teams

3.????? Design, 3D print, and manufacture the mechanical fixtures and components, to be installed on the autonomous test vehicles, fulfilling complex requirements of the research teams

4.????? Produce and implement designs and test procedures of autonomous vehicle platform

5.????? Undertake any relevant research

6.????? Present the designs to the team members

7.????? Create project plans

8.????? Provide supports for the critical tasks related to autonomous test vehicles and the related infrastructure

Qualifications

1.????? Bachelors or higher degree in Mechanical Engineering or related fields

2.????? Deep understanding of design of complex mechanical components and fixtures that are used to support different sensors installed on autonomous cars

3.????? Hands-on experience in computer-aided design/modelling software and Solidworks

4.????? Hands-on experience with 3D printing and prototype making of mechanical components

5.????? Experience in testing hardware reliability, functionality, and making clear reports to be used for root-cause-assessment

6.????? Some experience in Robot Operating System (ROS), software development, code review, testing, bug fixes, and troubleshooting

7.????? Some hands-on experience in Git

8.????? Strong analytical skills, analyzing and interpreting the relevant data

The following requirements will be plus:

1.????? Master’s or higher degree in Mechanical Engineering or related fields

2.????? Experience in Python software development

3.????? Background in software design and data analytics

4.????? Knowledge of computer vision and LIDAR technologies

5.????? Experience in autonomous driving industries and the related sensor technologie
