Job Description
We are seeking for several Research Scientists/Engineers who love to invent and develop new interaction techniques for consumer products that may benefit hundreds of millions of users. Specifically, you will conduct cutting-edge research on Audio/Acoustic engineering. Candidates must be able to work in small, collaborative teams and be willing to help manage projects.
Responsibilities
- Analyze acoustic sensor data and help debug algorithm and platform issues
- Help guide the technology from the initial concept stage to fast prototypes of testing and tuning, and to customer use.
- Analysis and exploration of acoustic sensor data for active and passive systems
- Development of innovative signal processing algorithms to aid in detection, localization, ranging, AOA, and activity recognition.
- Publish papers in peer-reviewed scientific journals/conferences.
Qualifications
- Master/Ph.D. in electrical engineering, computer science, or other disciplines related to signal processing or acoustic/audio engineering.
- Practical experience with frequency domain digital beamforming algorithms.
- Experience or coursework in topics such as detection/estimation theory, adaptive filtering, etc.
- Experience with DSP algorithms, especially in the context of audio. Understanding of Fourier transforms, discrete signals, filter design.
- Experience with typical acoustic processing tasks, such as noise reduction, acoustic echo cancellation, gain control, microphone arrays, beamforming, or source separation.
- Strong programming proficiency in Java, C++, Python, and other relevant programming language.
Nice-to-Haves:
- Experience with acoustic signal processing on Smart Phone, Smart Speakers.
- Experience in Sonar and/or Radar systems
- Experience with Android development.
- Experience with Machine Learning.
